Autoblogs are definately a way to go..
.. There is a science to it... an autoblog on a new domain with no links to it won't make as much as quickly as those on established domains.
I can throw a blog on many of my domains and make about $5.00 a day within a week. This is how I make my living.
One of my blogfarming webinars about 3-4 weeks ago I created an autoblog live and it is ranking nicely. It's pulling in about 200-300 uniques a day and could very easily be pulling in about 20.00 a day at least for the past 2 weeks and still going..
Autoblogs shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to make.. That was the case with the one in my webinar. It took me 5 minutes total work with about an hour or so of explanation.

Hi I'm new to all this and was looking for an angle which was quick. thought it was a lot more difficult - good to know its not.

Would anyone be willing to mentor me? The thing I'm really confused with now is hosting and domain names... I guess I need a domain name per blog? That could get expensive getting 100+ autoblogs running...

Dude, it's really simple.
Domain names should contain your keyword or phrase. So if you're building a blog around "buy viagra online" and your bought a .info domain for 2.99 at Namecheap...
You'd try to get something like buyviagraonline.info.
If you can foot $25USD a month, get some reseller hosting at Hostgator which is what I do. I can host a shiznit load of sites.
Now just build auto blogs on a subdomain like hxxp://cheap.buyviagraonline.info/, hxxp://discreet.buyviagraonline.info/, hxxp://noprescription.buyviagraonline.info/ and so on...it's free.
Other than that, what you really need to do is take a step back and learn about the basics of hosting and basic SEO practice. Search button and Google is your best mentor.

I'll have to look into reseller hosting...woudl i basically be selling hosting to myself? And I have heard hostgator is noit good for that....
I've learned a bit about keywords, and yeah I still need to learn about hosting, I know some html for sites... I don't have time atm to delve into everything, next wk I will

Does anyone know if its ok to have adsense in the post above or next to video?, as I am using adsense injection with a video injection script at the same time....
I guess I should ask the big G to be safe, but I would rather not draw attention to my account

I'm just starting out with adsense, actually with any sort of network activity at all.
I thought I read somewhere that you should build your site and the traffic to it before you add the Adsense advertising.
Do you agree?
If so
-------- what amount of traffic should I be looking to get before adding the adverts.
-------- Is this only true if you have just created your Adsense account or after you have had it for a while and gotten some revenue from it do you still need to wait?
If not
-------- is there any amount of seed articles you should have to go onto your blog when you create is ( eg 15 articles ) or can you just let the scripts build it right up from scratch.

why would you need more then one package?

it is not about the hosting u use space or bandwidth but about the IP's you will be using for the blogs, think, if 100 companies point to the same exact address wont this smell fishy to you? well its the same to google... they can see the blog ip adresses and they erase you of the map with one single touch!
I would go with several hosting providers one in canada like domainstacost then usa maybe hostgator, bullionhost or dreamhost, etc, etc Just some that come to my mind right now.
The more Ips u use the better, of course big players will just get a Server or even a Virtual server could work.

Very cool, you're not playing around. Only thing is, what keyword research will you do first? And you'll probably just want to grab several free themes and use them. Using just one and customizing it would leave a footprint.

autoblogging does seems lucrative , but I ve been heard that it does take quite time when you actually gain start getting returns !
