I had a mate email me last week about setting some more of these up for him [I had done only 5 for him before] as those particular ones were the only ones earning [apparently he had others do others for him, idk], but I could not say why one blog over another will earn. I know some earn more over others, but to have $0 total earnings to me is a mystery. How much traffic do you get?

www.abcd.com is correct [aka click on the www folder, the public_html folder...or whatever folder you can find your wp_config.php file [for those using like /blog or w/e you want to use]

I don't like adbrite so personally do not use them, but you can use ANYTHING to monetize your blogs: cpa, contextual ads, amazon, ebay, products, affiliate products, and anything else you can think of. Use wp affiliate pro for linking keywords to aff links in a snap even.

You have no clue what you are talking about. If you had any experience you would know that a free blogspot blog will easily rank higher than a .info.

If you don't believe this, look up the keywords "make money online". Blogspot blogs claim 2 out of the top 3 spots for one of the most sought after niches.

Noobs have no clue what they are talking about.

Google is not stoopid and realizes domain names with .info are much more likely to be spam blogs. Same with the idiots who put a few dashes in their domain names.

It is all about your preference. For example.

Option 1 - You could create 1000 autoblogs making .10 a day
Option 2 - You could use public domain content in a specific niche, use google translate english->german->danish->english, have a keyword list handy and pepper it with your keywords, 100 domains making 1$ a day
Option 3 - Just write unique original content and have 10 sites making you 10$ a day.

When you really get down to the brass tacks it probably takes the same amount of time to do any of these options. I definitely wouldn't be choosing the first option though.

Lets face it, adsense income is going to be crap with option one because you will definitely get smart priced. Not only that but you would never pass a manual review and google is going to get better at cracking down on these.

Not saying there isn't money there, but there are much more legit options that will be making you cash for a few years instead of six months. Have to look at the long term payoff.

I have done some 60 autoblogs on Blogger and put my adsense and other affiliates on them. Most of them get indexed quicky and have some visitors already. It is nearly one month now and still have now problem with Google. Some of my blog was warned spam and require review. After reply to G and wait them review, all my blog come to live again after 2 to 5 days. My question is, will there be any problem with adsense if I put my adsense code in 100 of blogger's autoblog? I'm going to create more 40 blogs but still worried about the risk of my adsene banned ? Any chance? Has any one here in this BHW has problem with adsense if puting your adsense code in 100s of sites or blogs? Does it agains Adsense'Terms?

Oh sorry mate I didn't check back on this post. I can do that. I actually have been checking randomly now every other week or more and still have not found my blogs to deindexed.

Agreed. But I don't really like blogger much. Probably because I never REALLY tried to dive into it. Had a couple of blogs here and there with it, but didn't like the functionality like I do WP. But I think you can build on .info domains if you make them look real, not too ad-infested, and have different layouts on each domain. Mixing it up has been key for me in my opinion. I have done no REAL split-testing as I have not had the time so only speaking from what I have personally experienced.

uninstall then reinstall; works for me [I have had that error before...and random it was on a blog that was working fine for a good minute so idk why that plugin acts up from time to time]. If not, then do contact your host about it as I don't have much more information to tell you it's something else...

Without knowing what your setup is and what you are doing with it, I can't comment much more on what to add, but I will say this: guys, there are some othe great plugins that will help greatly too in your autoblogs if you just browse around [it'll hit you in the head like a thousand ton weight really].

This is the confusing part. What kind of hosting should we get?

a) ONE regular web hosting non-reseller account. Just add the 999 domains as add-on to the mother domain.

b) ONE reseller shared hosting account. Create separate cpanels for each domains. But they're all in this same one hosting account, one IP. (just don't interlink them)

c) MULTIPLE reseller shared hosting account. Separate domains in different accounts.

d) ONE SEO hosting account with multiple c-class and IP. Spread out domains in different class and IP.


The last one (d) is not necessary according to my reading of this (incl links to Matt Cutts interview)

1. Subdomains: As time has progressed and I've been able to monitor my blogs more, I am really moving in the direction of it is what you put on the blogs, how they look, what the topic is, and everything else under the sun other than where it is placed. Now why do I say that? I made a couple of autoblogs back in October that were completely video autoblogs on their own domain. I ran them for a few months and got traffic, but the clicks were few and far between. I then set up a single video autoblog on a subdomain because I found this really cool template that I really wanted to use [yes, this is actually how I choose niches to create autoblogs on sometimes] so I did. The name worked because the subdomain was a microniche of the main domain. At first, it seemed like it was going to be another dud; I got the initial traffic and it was increasing daily, but no clicks. Now mind you, I probably did not have it monetized very well as when I made the change to add the ads to the sidebar, my clicks increased to almost daily a couple of weeks later. But the point really is that that particular autoblog gets mounds of traffic [more than a few of my more seasoned ones], but I believe because it is a popular niche. It's a popular topic so the SERPs are doing it well. Just like if you choose a niche on humdingers that probably wouldn't get you a lot of traffic, I think the niche really can make a bigger difference than what domain you use.

2. Hosting. I'm really so paranoid as to have multiple hosting accounts, but that is just me. I've been working on several different hosts lately and some are a pain to deal with wordpress setups. I highly recommend Hostgator and Seohosting because of this. I'd go with the reseller route as well.

3. Interlinking. A personal preference so as to build up more traffic, ranking, and it's just a good seo tactic in general. I interlink 'similar' niches only, by placing links to certain posts within other posts. So I take blog A post and hyperlink it to a keyword in blog B post that is related to Blog A post. But I don't take blog B post and link it to a keyword in blog A post, rather I take a post in Blog B post and hyperlink it to another keyword in Blog C post. That's the simplified version....The longer version I don't think I can explain [as much as I try to be as detailed as possible, it is literally me just taking out notepad, listing all blogs that need to be linked, and moving them around until I have a pyramid that I like].

I would also recommend this option guys as it does bring in some outside links as well as small amounts of traffic: Get blogslammer! No really, get it. Create a farm of blogs, build them up just a little [I posted maybe once every 2-3 days to being with for about a month and a half], then send posts targeting pages from your blogs. Again, another step that I can't really go into detail much right now due to time, but once you get it [or if you have it], you know what I mean; the software will post to each blog and will make a keyword linked to your link [all which you specify] within a post. I have random visits shown in my awstats from blogs I made back in september and haven't posted to since like mid november and are actually crappy blog names as I had my girlfriend register them [not thinking on my end to actually tell her to register relevant blog names] so there is room for improvement.

Yes and no. It will amass a huge keyword list depending on how many you tell it to grab so I wouldn't use them as categories. I use the adwords tool to find my categories. I realized I did not go into much detail on how I use keyword elite for adding keywords into seo plat:

1. Open kw elite, select the top three [ask, google, and yahoo, but mix it up again by swapping out ask for the misspelled keywords...I do it again because I'm a paranoid blogger like that, but I always keep google and yahoo in my mix], run for about 1500 keywords [you will NOT use all of these].
2. Click on 'report view' and find the box on the right that shows 'only show phrases containing' and add a keyword or keyword phrase that you are targetting. If you find the keyword phrase is too narrow, try a different more broad one.
3. NOW let it generate about 200-300 keywords [I really vary it from 150-300....vary it!].
4. If it hits 150-300 before finishing its run, click pause [if you don't click pause, for some reason the thing will not save your bloody keywords], select all, move to the group section, export as text, and save.
5. Open that notepad, select all keywords, and open up MS Word.
6. Paste in MS Word, use the replace function and do this:
find:^p
replace:,
Now, you must remember to put a space after that comma so the words are spaced and not jumbled together. This puts your keyword list in the form SEO Plat likes without it looking so messy like a single line list produced from KW Elite looks like. And the list is nice and targetted.

Keep it low; 5-7. Because remember, you want the blogs to look natural, not spammy. No one can post 15-30 posts a day on a consistent basis.

1. Adsense, sure. On most of my blogs, I put in adsense with my setups. A few I waited a few days to add the codes. But why not use it?
2. I don't so cannot comment on whether you should. I don't add google analytics either. I basically don't care for google to know anything more about my blogs than the fact that they are getting traffic and revenue.
3. I have actually submitted some using some program I downloaded here, but cannot remember the name [I am now on a new comp and haven't downloaded a lot of junk to it just yet...and my lovely desktop had to be reformatted after a dillhole friend of mine f-ed it up major], but only the ones that are on their own domain and look like natural written blogs [specifically I only add the premium blog setups meaning they have a premium theme on them].

1. the UAW plugin posts content that people WANT you to post on your blogs. They are trying to get backlinks so they submit it to the paid service which then posts freely on your blogs that you have the plugin set up for.
2. Yahoo answers lets you use their resources if you have some attribution to them. Make a nice little jpeg saying 'powered by Yahoo answers' and you're straight [if you even care about that....some setups I have had people specifically ask me to disregard any attribution links/texts] because they don't require a linkback.
3. The articles pulled from CC again are ok as long as you keep the author resource box in tact.

Thank you for such an informative thread and step-by-step guide. I'm really enjoying setting up my first autoblog. I still have some more keyword questions though:

I have a list of 250 keywords for my first autoblog. I have used 50 of these as category names. Should I include all of the other 200 in my Platinum SEO KW list?
Should I use the same keywords in each of my plugins that request keywords or should I vary the keywords I use in each plugin? Splitting the 200 into blocks of 40 or 50 per plugin?
With the elite version of WP VideoTube would it be acceptable to use all 250 keywords as long as I was still only posting 1 - 3 video posts per day?
I guess I'm basically asking is 250 way too many keywords for one blog or is it average? I'd originally thought I should have about 15 KWs per blog but when I went to generate my Keyword list I was reluctant to have anything less than 250.

Postings per day:
I understand to keep posts low to less than 7 per day but I'm confused when setting up my various content plugins. e.g. should I set wp videotube to 3 posts per day, uaw to 2 posts per day (with the knowledge that it will probably not have a new article each day), CC to 1 post per day, WP-O-Matic to 2 posts per day etc etc making the total across all plugins less than 7.

Last year I tried out some amazing software called Datapresser by Seocracy. It is a really powerful tool and I think it might be ideal for this. It costs from $35 to $145 per month subscription, which I realise is a lot of money for some people, but that includes a subscription to Wordz, a mass blog installer, very convincing unique content generation, plenty of advice and support and automatic posting to wordpress on a scheduler. I'm going to try out the cheapest plan to improve the quality of my unique content.

Where do I find suitable/relevant feed links for WP-O-Matic?
I went to Syndic8 and typed in a keyword, I then copied five feed links into WP-O-Matic and set it to post no more than 2 per day. It immediately returned 10 posts. Does this mean that it posts a maximum number per feed link and so I should only add one or two feed links per campaign?
Is it better to link to the source article or not?

OK, so I've been trying to work out the best way to use WP-O-Matic with relevant feeds and not posting over 4 or 5 times a day.

I've got some good content feeds by typing- 'keyword' news rss - into a search engine - I then source the rss link on any of the listed sites that I like the look of and are relevant to my niche.
In WP-O-Matic I've set the keyword as the campaign name, with 4 related feeds set to post once per fetch, every 1 day, which should result in four new posts every day.
I've also set a second keyword campaign with a different set of 4 feeds set to post once per fetch, every 2.5 days, which should result in another four new posts every 2 or 3 days.

I think I've got the hang of it now!

I did discover that you can use your ebay affiliate ID to set Ebay RSS feeds to products related to your niche, but for some reason I couldn't get these to post to my blog.

Much respect for sharing this knowledge. My note book full now.

I've failed miserably at this. I made 20 autoblogs that have been running for 3-6 months a peice and I'm getting about 50-100 impressions per day total with a CTR much less than 1%. I've wasted so much time on this its depressing...

How much do categories matter? My keywords and categories were all chosen by me as I thought the actual content mattered more. That might explain the tiny ammount of traffic but still doesnt explain my tiny CTR. I'm on a roll, over 200 impressions and no clicks, wooooo!

Apologies I've been in and out and preoccupied lately--will get to the posts below my last post sometime this weekend; sorry I've just been running around all over the place since my move and been trying to catch up since~

@kw ?s:I only use the large list for the home page; seo plat generates the metas for me on the single post pages so is much less; I don't stuff keywords all over elsewhere too--that's just overkill

@earning ?s: Mates, play with your ad positionings if you are not earning. Check your stats too--you may have 200 uniques a day, but if your bounce rate is extremely high, do you think they are really sticking around to read anything let alone the ads? My bounce rates are high, yes, it's expected with an autoblog, but they have evened out to be low 70s for some up to the highest around 76% on random blogs [I'll have to check again as I have just been too busy to notice lately--just trying to remember numbers at midnight =P] Play around with niches; if you find a dud, move on [or do better kw research]; the beauty of the autoblog is you can be working on others while finding out if one works. And I just cannot say this enough: Don't be afraid of high competition niches!

@categories: I just try to make them relevant as the overall idea of these blogs is to make them look like a real blogger set them up. Most real bloggers use relevant categories. And I just like to add a little more keywords too as I use the %post_title% | %category_title% | %blog_title% format in my seo platinum post option [so the top of the page will show the post title, category title, then the blog title]

autoblogs are over hyped imo - Its hard to create 5 sites making $5 per day, I think though if you make it post one article per day, people love updated blogs
