You do know you can change wordpress themes? So you can find a high CTR theme? Or maybe hire a freelancer to make you one, or even learn some PHP/HTML/PS and make your own.
Autoblogs don't work for me !

$2 a day is nothing bad, You can do some Social bookmarking/directory submission if you want more.
You really don't need any "high CTR" theme - because it's enough to put two horizontal adsense blocks in the post - one on top the other on the bottom, and the third vertical block on sidebar - and that works perfectly with autoblogs. And the best thing is that you can do it most of simple WP themes.

who gives a shit if autoblog produces income,for me when they are indexed-they are great source of links to real money sites-one action -buy or get a hell out of here.(check Freeautoblogger.com-for desktop autoblogging on various hosts-fuck buying domains)
Autoblog with FlexSqueeze theme on your hosting is also great,after rss,blog dir.,bookmarking,few articles and few video promo(etc.)you can have first class affiliate squeeze page-build a list or make sales....adsense is to much work for pennies.

Autoblog does work, but you have to make unique one out of a crappy post on RSS. Make it look like you own the content, not just some aggregated contents. I have made 4 kinds of these and total made me over $100 a month (not from adsense though), not bad for set and forget kind of sites. I failed too at making autoblogs out of a widely available RSS feeds.
-A few hundred on my own hosting plus uncountable numbers of spamblogs on free hostings...
- I use my own software which I coded for that purpose...
- For a start - yes - add wp-o-matic or autoblogged and you'll be fine.
- Of course - but I suggest you try to do some testing on free hosting websites so you get some skills and exp. first.
- The crappiest autoblogs can make as low as $7/month, the best ones:
