First I agree with most what Hotcheats said above, and with Adbox as well. If you have faced some initial failure with autoblogging this doesn't mean it's over and the whole autoblogging way is dead, that doesn't make any sense to me who is still making a killing from my years old network of autoblogs, or to a good number of other people here that had and still enjoying great success with autoblogs .
Ok let me past my previous post from the success story thread here again, it will save me time writing some of that here again and it has some thing to do with your situation :
... I'm sure we will have a number of success stories here, but the sad thing IMO is the majority fail and don't achieve that "autoblogging dream" ..
Ok let me briefly tell my story with autoblogs, my oldest autoblogs are over 4 years, generating some good revenue in complete autopilot, never had a blog deindexed, or had any problems with adsense or any thing else (except some few situations), some people say dup content is bad, autoblogs are dead, risky.. blah blah, and that's bullshit, they should take a look at my monthly checks over years, sometimes my autoblogs even outrank the source content. So yes you can make some great, steady, easy, automatic and long term revenue from autoblogs, as long as you're doing it the right way .. .
back in the days when autoblog concept started, well first that was like magic, you make an autoblog today, setup and let it update with some rss feed news, and the very next day your blog will start getting 100 UV from G without you doing any big promotion, yeah big G was such an idiot with ABs, but now things changed a lot, and got a bit harder, you need to play it differently, without finding good niches, targeting low competitive keywords and generating tons of back links your autoblog will go no where.
And one thing you should consider if you want your autoblogs to last and do good IMO, don't cheat google and visitors, make autoblogs that really give some good information to the visitor even if it's dup content who cares, as long as it is what your targeted traffic is looking for, how can you expect someone to come to your autoblog, face an ugly and noob made website and read your crappy auto-rewritten content like "I was there but holidays back tomorrow bad ouch dead never mind end.." lol, and click your ads or buy products from your links ? Spend some time first making things looks good, make it legit and you'll not regret it later .
Don't get me wrong, getting success with autoblogs is not some thing hard but in the same time it's not as easy as it sounds, just make sure you follow the rules, learn how to do things right, be creative, and once you understand how to play the game, you'll love it, is there any thing in the world better than a money making machine working for you ?
I can think of two causes in your situation, you did things wrong and made some deadly mistakes, which include : Interlinking your blogs, footprint for G and like using one webmaster account and analytic for all your blogs, bad tarted niches and keywords, spammy looking autoblogs with crappy rewritten content ... . Or you really have a very hard luck, then nothing can be said in this situation !
So as I said, the day of crappy and spammy looking autoblogs is gone, believe it or not, unless you want to use them for redirect or cloaking, if you're looking to make autoblogs that G will love and last for a long term and generate some good revenue, then you have to consider this :
- Make good looking autoblogs, use quality themes, there are tons of free but well made, SEO friendly and good looking WP themes, just tweak them a bit, remove footers and sidebars links, a simple logo .. .
- Make sure they get updated with quality content, I mean with that good and related articles to your niche, mix the content, post from feeds, youtube videos(a couple per week are good enough), and some amazon products once a while, find some good and related blogs or websites and use their feed (link to them). this part is important, if you don't have a solid auto rewriting system that keep the articles at least 80 human readable which I don't think you'll find one in the marked, then better just leave the content as it is, no sense and crappy content will just get you trouble and will hurt your blogs one day or another .
- Consider adding some unique content on each blog, one post or two, a unique about page as well, don't make the autoblog 100% full of dup .
- Make autoblogs that really give some quality information and offer what your traffic is looking for, people will enjoy and buy products from your links trust me, and G will love your autoblog for doing this ... .
A big mistake that most people make here as far as I see, when you read someone's story or guide here, do not just replicate their methods/ways 100%, if some thing somehow worked for someone and he had success with it, it doesn't mean it will work for you too and you'll achieve the same success, just learn basics, learn from their experience then make yours and be creative .
Before making an autoblog you should first define what kind of autoblogs you're going to make, and what traffic you're going to target, I mean with that for example people that are looking for news they are mostly not interested to buy products unlike niche targeted traffic, people who are interested on that niche.. So to say that there are 3 different main categories of autoblogs (in my opinion) :
- Niche autoblogs : autoblogs made for a specify niches, targeting specify keywords ..
- News autoblogs : autoblogs updated with latest news about a broad and major niches, like technology, gaming, entertainment, celebrities .. or even all at once, you don't need to focus on specify keywords here .. .
- xxx oops, sorry it's a little secret for now, maybe will talk about this later

Let me focus on category 1, niche autoblogs, the most important things to focus on before or after making your niche autoblog are :
- find a good and profitable niche, I'm talking about long term niches, what people are usually interested in their life, don't go with this kind of "Tiger Woods" niches/keywords, this will not last for long, paparazzi and people will move on to another crappy celeb .. and you'll wonder again why your traffic got decreased and disappeared.
- Target low competitive keywords, you should learn how to do this first, it's not some thing hard but in the same time it's not easy, targeting from 1 to 3 keywords that get total of at least 3000 search per month is good enough for one blog, and it will be easier and better for you to rank top in G if you get domain name with the exact targeted keyword . There are a number of great keywords research softwares out there like marked samurai and micro niche finder to make things faster and much easier for you than using G keyword tool only (PS: combining this with hotcheats's software in his signature can be good as well) .
- Link building you know how important it is, so do social bookmarking, use some automatic ways already shared here, or better buy some automatic accounts creating and submission software to make things faster and easier for you since you're investing some money here, forum posting, blog comment posting ... well you got it, just put your links in every websites/blogs ass out there .
Well this is it .. Now let me suggest you what do with your current autoblogs, find the ones that got de-indexed, sandboxed or the dead ones and just go flip them, I believe over DP you'll get some ok offers, oh don't forget to bring a review copy with you they love it there lol .. .
Never give up on any thing you do, keep the hard work, keep hope, learn from your mistakes, trust your self and always remember that there are tons of other people out there that have less knowledge and abilities than you and they did it, so you too should do it in the end, and wait let me add this, don't put all your eggs in one basket, after all your goal is to make some good money from the internet right, then beside autoblogs make some complete unique niche blogs, with quality and unique articles so just you have backup .. .
