Autoblogging - HostGat0r or Lun@rpages?

Im using lun@rp@g3s very basic unlimted hosting (like$4/mo) and aut0bl00g3d. and Ive had my site put on pause 2 times because they said I was using too many resources and that I should update or stop the script that was causing it, or I will have to upgrade to another plan.

So what I do now is, Ive paused my autoblog and I pop in to my settings every few days, run the autoblog, scrape a few articles, post, turn it off and then log out. No problems doing this.

thats my experience with lun@r...

I use servage.net few years from now. It's cheap and u get what u paid for. In my opinion is excellent for autoblogs and other small sites where u have less than thousand visitors -they susupend accout to midnight if u have more than xxxxxxxx clicks per day (i can't remember how many exactly)- but there was time when i had over 7k blogs on one account and they said nothing. Now i have them baned so, lol, i dont need to use it that much :D

Anyway - it's cheap, bit slow but faster than dreamhost. U can check out this blog htxp://babybox.info - loads of posts and working ok, i have many of wp installations like this one over there.

I've been using Hostgat0r for about 3 years now. Love their service, whenever I need anything added to help run stuff it has never been a problem. I have only been running autoblogs for the past couple of months, but during my first set up I had to get them to give my account some extra access to allow different parts of the autoblog setup to work, and they had no issues doing it right away.

So, based on my 3 years of working with them, and the fact that they didn't flinch when I told them what I was doing, I'm all for using them.

Im using Hostmonster. I have close to 20 autoblogs on it with no problems. I havent had to use support in the 2 years I have been with them so Im not sure how they are, but shouldnt be any issues. I know several people who have autoblog farms on hostgator with no problems. Just dont overload the server and you will be ok.

how much is your earnings then?

I also use hostgator, good service and no complaints as long as not overdo it.

I flip good amount of my sites and then build new ones and I make more flipping, but I have some blogs that make a few cents a day to some that make a few dollars a day. I usually try to keep at least 20 up at a time sometimes I have more sometimes I have less.

@pbrouse, what auto poster are you using? and how much in average you earn from flipping autoblogs

don't use lunarpages. I have two accounts with them all using autoblog (more more than 4 , with wp super cache plugin install ) but they suspended my hosting accounts, saying that I overloaded their cpu and memory.

I only get about 200 visitors max per autoblog per day yet they shut me down.

I am happy with hostgator now.

with lunarpages, if you autoblog plugin doesn't consume too many resources, you will be fine too, my experience, i have many autoblogs in my lunarpages basic hosting account, gonna be 2 years now, without any problem, because i know the plugin i'm using doesn't consume many resources

still, if he price difference is not a problem, get hostgator and you will be safer

Im using wprobot. My highest flip was for $225 for a blog that had earned less than $2 in adsense, but I also got burned on one sale for $11 since I didnt have a reserve. That blog had adsense and amazon sales and it was less than 2 months old.

Guess my average is about $150 per blog so far.

I love hostgator. Good support, really cheap, and they have an aff system. (that pays)

Anyone know whether the HostNine reseller hosting plan is good for autoblogs? Thanks

I would suggest picking up C class IP hosting for autoblogs, they help a lot :)

i guess as with anything the more you pay the more you get. you can get a dedicated server from around 40usd a month if u look around. once you get your first dedicated server you'll never go back to crappy shared hosting... of course you can then also sell hosting to make up the difference...

I am using Hostgator for my autoblogs as well and they are fine. I've never had a problem with them. I'm sure I'll be upgrading soon as they are growing each day but Hostgator has great support and I won't have a problem upgrading when I need to.

i swapped lunar for gator two years ago due to what i felt was poor service.

1. at gator i've had my account suspended for two hours because they *thought* i had spammer programs.

2. i've had my perl scripts quit working because of some change to their servers.

3. i was locked out of my own account for 5 hours after someone banned my ip number. they couldn't tell me why.

4. my perl scripts now take 3 minutes (or more) to execute. last month they were fine.

buyer beware... :D

beware of hostgator with autoblogs - 55 autoblogs killed my reseller account

hostgator suspend my autoblog, 3 times because I made high cpu usage, but after I manage to reduce cpu usage by tweaking my autoblog, they unsuspend my script. They don't kill your account, just stop the script like index.php or wp-cron.php which caused the high cpu usage problems, so I can still access wp-admin to set up my wp.
They are really good at support, I can chat with their support anytime.
I think any hosting will be the same, they don't really care about bandwith, the most important thing is cpu usage, so you have to set up your autoblog carefully.
Now after good tweaking of my autoblog, I host 5 autoblog in one account, 2 of them has >6000 unique visitor and >12.000 pageviews each day.
