You can remove those by editing the templates in the templates folder. Here's what my default looks like:

With the RSS aggregation, the quality of the content comes down to the quality of the feeds. What I usually do is start with Caffeinated Content to populate a few of my targeted categories, and then WP-O-Matic to drip feed from a half dozen good sources.
Autoblogged does basically the same thing WP-O-Matic, and with Unique Article Wizard, I find that the articles sent to me aren't as targeted as some of the better feeds out there.

I'm using CC, Yahoo Pipes and feedwordpress. I found this http://echodittolabs.org/fulltextrss which does a pretty good job of pulling full feeds (nothing's perfect), then running a Yahoo pipe to truncate the number of feed listings, and back to feedwordpress (which also seems to do a better job with the full feeds than autoblogg and wp-o-matic, at least for me).
I'm using 3 different sources-with full feeds now, posting 1 item per feed, and mixing in 1 cc article.
The look and feel is pretty diverse. Now, if I could only find a working syonymizer for WP 2.7, I'd wouldn't feel so much like Don Quixote, in search of the Holy Grail.

I tried all of them, but none seemed to work and always had some bugs. I just found a feed syndicator plugin on wordpress and it works pretty well. It updates when I tell it to, but no features for manipulating words etc.

I have been using CC for almost a year now, and i love it, my only problem is and it aint really a CC problem but Yahoo which is it limits the number of queries, i have 10 blogs on 1 server when I do cc updates on one blog i have to wait for some time before i can do it on other blogs, otherwise it wont pull any content.
I recentely came up with an alternative method to add articles to my blogs and to auto schedule them:
I have this tool that i can get articles based on a keyword, very fast. I normally get around 800 articles at a time per keyword ( which takes about 5 minutes to get and download). The articles are all in PLR format, so looks really nice when i add them to the blog, as it shows in paragraphs and nicely formated.
Once i have the articles, which by the way are all based on the keywords of my blog, i then use another tool which upload and auto schedule the posting on my blog, almost like dripfeed, except i specify the category to be posted in and how often, and specify it to auto insert technorati tags. That's it.
To add about 10 000 articles to a blog and schedule them say a past every 0 - 3 days over a 3 years period wil take no more than a hour for me
Might add that the Write again plugin takes care then of the copyscape problem.
I spend about a week on one blog, set it up good, insert affiliate links, adsence and just make it look good, then i leave it run. that is truly set and forget, i dont need to touch that blog for the next 3 years. Just wish there was a way to auto update plugins and wordpress when updates become available. I am a update freak and truly believe in" if it aint broken, update it untill it is"
I also use Cafientated content to add some video and Yah00 questions to make it look even more genuine. My blog template auto rotate the affiliate banners and other plug ins take care of pinging and the important SEO stuff
Below is a screen shot of my 1 blog i started this week and which has, where you can see it has 14867 scheduled post for the next 1396 days
When i have some time i will put all of this in a nice package and offer the service on my site.
The good thing here is the articles are keyword related, autoposted and auto scheduled, which is what CC and WP-omatic do but mine finds it's own articles and there is no limite to how much i can add at a time.
Another option i was thinking of was to offer people a keyword based RSS feed. For that i will build bsic blogs and make them private no access for search engines, block them in robot as well as in the htaccess. then i autopost articles to that blog and offer the RSS feed to whowever to update their sites. So i can have for example a blog on golf - rss feed on golf, another blog on golf clubs = RSS feed golf clubs, the rss feed will have updated content content daily for the next few years.
Do u guys think this is something people would be intersted in ? I am open to suggestions and if you want me to let you know when the service is available, then drop me a PM and i will let you knwo when i am good to go.

How much do each of your blogs make per day? Im just curious because this sounds like a very interesting method.

Well as mentioned i have just started adding this to my blog this week, so not really quiet there yet, but after 4 days i am hitting around $1 - 2 a day on adsese, no luck yet on my CJ affiliates or clickbank but the traffic is picking up a bit.
I was planning on feeding this site into my Bookmarking deamon and search engine promotion tools, so as to spread the link love and hopefully it should boost traffic and sales

I am trying wp-o-matic and i can only get it to pull in a few lines or a sentence from the feed. I understand that some feeds only allow excerpts but i have tried with tons of feeds including from yahoo and it still just brings in one or two lines. Any idea how to fix this?

Well if you look towards the bottom of what i wrote earlier
The reason why I will build my own blogs ( and then hide them from the search engines), is because Wordpress let you specify if your feeds should be summaries or full article. If you go to Settings \ Reading settings you will see the options : "For each article in a feed, show : Full Text or Summary" ), so when i offer the rss feeds of the content rich blogs, i will specify: show full text. On the other hand if i have a large blog and i use feedburner then i would use summary, as feedburner does not allow feeds over 500k i think it is.
I am not sure how to fix your problem when u scrape from Yahoo, but i know the answer is in the template that you specify in wp-o-matic for posting. maybe you can look on there support forum for the correct template token
