Autoblog Student, need some Black or White advice

Ok, So I've been reading awhile on the autoblogs. As a nOObie, I set one up 63 days ago. I'm getting 80 -100 hits, 300-400 pageviews, 1400 spiders per day. 7300 post/ 43k comments.. Started a twitter account, little adsense like 2.00 this week, basic crap.

Haven't done any Bl or promotional stuff yet.. Then I get an email from a friend linked to an article about my site in the Sacramento Bee.. ( Major California Newspaper "for our Kentucky boys across the pond")

I set this up as a dummy test site but now it looks like its stumbling into something.. Should I open it up as a regular whitehat member site or just keep going as is and see what happens.

Inexperienced I don't want to drop the ball on something good.

Is this guy serious or did he just need 900 characters by deadline ? I'm sure its a good thing, I just don't know how best to utilize it.. Any Suggestions ?

You should keep it going just the way it is. Regardless of why he wrote that article, you need to monetize it! See if there are any clickbank products related to pot... or something of the sort.

Nice man! I would add some legal smokes affiliates, legal highs, bong makers with their own revenue program, and you could also try amazon. They have a lot of pot products. How many feeds are you using for your blog?

I have some text ads from legal smoke on the 404 pages, aka WP AskApache google 404 plugin.. Google was indexing front page before I got the permalinks configured and have 400 -404 pages.. The plugin is working good now.

Yeah I think I missed the boat on this one, my visitors hit 1700+ after the article.. 717 yesterday after tweeting the article..

I'm using wprobot 2.08, about 25 categories and 250 keywords 10 each. Mainly youtube, and a couple of yahoo answers and news to break it up a bit.. I have posting time set far apart, 11 to 48 hours, no pattern just here and there.. As I was just testing this thing, taking it slow.

The adsense for feeds / feed burner is sending in some traffic now.

I guess now aside from affiliates I should start promoting and BL.
Iweb reports 19 backlinks.. #35 on G for M Videos, I think the front page will help a lot with that. but still not bad for a .info, huh ?

Not bad! I'd just keep everything the way it is, but make that blog your baby for as long as the traffic is rolling in from the article, and give it a little extra attention.

BTW, what plugin are you using to pull the videos?

I disagree man. I started out working with bh methods but have recently stopped and now only focus on my wh projects! Whitehat forever mate!

I have about 80-90 related domains on the general topic. I purchased these to push traffic over to a WH advertising network site I'm building, Mar------networks.com

So, I thought autoblogging was the best measure to quicky build the sites using the methods here at BHW.. This would make the ad network look more attractive to publisher/advertisers. Considering the latest results with this site, it helps me either way I guess. I'll document the others as I set them up.

I owe a lot of thanks for this forum and members.. Will fry up some ads and b-linking see how thing go..

Has Big G, changed the way it adds backlinks ? I was ranking #35 for my keyword, then after a few links, I'm at #8.. However when I check for backlinks in popularity checkers ( 25 ) G has me at a flat 0.

Back to the Autoblog Saga.
I've Managed to get 4-12 per day out of this thing now. ( been very neglected ).
I'm currently at CTR 2.89, eCPM 17.10. ( Thats good, right ? )
I'm getting 1600 visitors day, 97.5% Uniques .
95% are gone in under 10 seconds.
A video blog, I assume they clicked the link and go straight to YT.
The gone in 60 seconds crowd I assume paused the vid and re-clicked it out to YT.

Ok Fine.. So I created a Div overlay that covers the video, except for the controls.
Then added a JS onclick. And a Watermark Image. Room for a few inline ad links in the video too.
Now they can't leave so easy.
I figured they will click a few times each before they get use to it and keep them on the site longer.

The affiliate game is new to me. I don't know what to use for the clicks ? Who should I use ? Randomize some CPMs ? Embed an iframe over vid ( click to continue ) like a movie site. What about LoudMo ? Any good ?

I have over 9000 vids now and have to replace database text with the new embed codes so I'm trying to find the best solution for the advertising before I implement it..

Yes, I'm asking for help and suggestions..Again.. As for the Overlay code, I'll make it available when I get done testing it out.
