Just two questions for you autobloggers:

    1) Do they still work?
    2) How many autoblogs do you have? My main concern is that if I have over a specified amount of blogs, G will ban my account automatically. How do you mitigate that issue?

Question 1: Yes, auto blogging works. It usually works well if set-up properly.

Question 2: In auto blogging, it is important that you understand what you're doing and how you're doing it. If you are using auto blogging for the sole purpose of earning from Adsense then G will definitely hit the BANNED hammer.

Yes, autoblogging stil works. If you are setting up a huge farm, make sure you remove your footprint to make Google happy.

I use 2 linking systems, so my autoblogs update with 1 or 3 new articles 3 times or so per week.

In this way I have 20 autoblogs and I am getting low traffic but highly targetted, so I earn like $150 per month per Adsense account.

(Thinking out loud.) Hmm. I didn't know I can get more than one AdSense account. I should read the Terms of Use for more info.

Theis TOS forbid this, but you can have another account with another person's name (and under your control).

Google has not banned me from adsense, although I do not make much currently. But I as an autoblogger don't like to make non-focused blatantly thieving autoblogs.

With a good autblogger there are many ways to move and shake content to where you have a quality assortment of incoming content. Why would Google grudge or penalize you for enrichening the internet with your effort? And they will not if you move with a majority amount of respect for other publishers.
