AutoBlog, Posting Frequency

I wanted to ask members that have autoblogs how often do you set it to post? I learned a method that said to post every 5 minutes and do not do anything extra for traffic. Traffic will come organically because the blog is posting so much. This is running WPRobot.

I've read many posts here were some say once an hour, 6 to 10 times a day, etc.

Would appreciate some feedback. I've got a few blogs making money. 3 out of 25. But hosting company is really upset running crons every few minutes.

I have my feeds running every 2 hours, but that's my preference. Usually, if I run more frequently, my host freaks out... Does your site get crawled enough to justify updating your feeds this frequently?

Within a 30 day period the bots hit one site over 3,000 times. According to my stats plugin.

Just seems to me will run out of things to post soon. Well not with RSS feeds but with the other Modules in WPRobot.

i will say 2 hours is perfectly fine, just dont try to look very spammy

i use 4-6 post /day
why ? coz one post every 2 hours will look like a spam blog "who can write 48 post/day??"

twice a day would be fine...

but if you have unlimited bandwidth, do it every 10 minutes...

I have my own server, so I can do whatever I want. I have noticed that stuff I tell to update really frequent does far worse than stuff that I tell to update 1 or 2 times per day only. I have it set to auto bookmark and auto ping the new posts, post RSS feeds etc. super frequent action just tells the world its a spam blog, unless you have massive traffic to back it up.

Even then, no one updates every 3 minutes, even massive sites. An article directory site would, but the spiders are smart enough to distinguish what kind of site you have by looking at the authors, IP of the post and other data.

I have gotten more revenue from adsense and other on sites that update 1-2 times per day (with either 1 or a few posts at a time) rather than massive all day posting.
