Spreading the Autoblogs over different VPS hosting solutions is a great idea for the simple reason that (a) If 1 gets disabled/banned etc you wont lose your income and (b) it can be very cost effective to get 10 smaller vps packages instead of 1 or 2 beefy dedicated servers.

I am a fan of rackspace. I use both the cloud sites and cloud servers option. TO be honest I use the cloud sites option mostly as it takes less work on my part. I also checked many of my sites and they all ping at different ip addresses. I had never worried about that untill i read that you only have one ip earlier in this thread. I could be missing something though.

You can also use the euro rackspace option and have off shore hosting.

Well if the issue is the same IP at single host. Then purchase different IP's for each blog..

Softlayer aka vps.net is a cloud host to avoid. The support is horrendous. I have had a cloud instance go down two days in a row. Support has no clue why, they just reboot the instance. I have waited 10 to 15 hours for support tickets to be answered, and I pay an extra $100 a month for their "managed" option. Their support seems to be all Russians, which is fine. But their English skills are definitely lacking.

Here is an actual response for a ticket I opened about the server being down:

"It is really very bad, but unfortunately we didn't powered off your server,
and if it happens again please let us know immediately and we will investigate the reason of the reboot, and fix all as soon as possible.
But now I can't verify why your server was down."
