Hey everyone! This is my first post so please be gentle. lol!

I have been following the TechChuck autoblog thread quite closely http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blogging/68240-how-replicate-techchuck-autoblog.html

I noticed that there are 18 pages of responses within that thread and nobody is hitting on what I believe to be the most important part of TechChuck's success with this blog. The content being published.

If you look at the posts found on TechChuck, they tend to be 2 or 3 nicely formatted paragraphs. I have yet to find a tool that does that. The autoblogged plugin either publishes a stripped, unformatted excerpt or the entire thread content that usually includes the original publishers ads, links and so forth.

In addition to that, I have looked at the original feeds he uses and many of them only show a sentence or two, so he is using more text than what is available? How?

I have tried Y. Pipes to create a full feed, works fine but there does not appear to be a way to then cut that full feed down to a couple paragraphs while keeping the formatting intact?

Is he using some custom script to pull feeds into the blog? I have a feeling that this site gets so much traffic because people don't realize that it is an autoblog. He shows enough content on each post, that people just think he actually adds them manually?

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

The truth is unless you are good at manipulating code inside of Wordpress, there is no tool out of the box that can build a site like TechChuck.

What you need to do if your bent of building such a site is to hire it out and be ULTRA specific to the needs / desires you have for your auto blog.

Hey thanks for the responses guys. I kind of expected the answers to be what they were. I will jump over to rentacoder and see what I can get something made for.

    Thanks again

Rentacoder has good people that can make the job done. Just make sure you stay with all the rights for the code.

The way I do it is customise the excerpt in the Post Templates of the Advanced Settings tab in Autoblogged.

You need to specify a custom excerpt so it only grabs say the first 30 words or something.

As I mentioned in the techchuck thread replicating it is a timely and gruling process you would need to rentacoder or try and code it your self... It is not easy.
