Autoblog, basic rss setup

Hi I'm about to start an autoblog and have some questions.

I want to use the blog to get some 'free' extra traffic to my webshop (free advertisement). My main plan:

-Opened a domain name about a relevant topic
-Write a few articles myself
-collect a few news feeds and opinion blog feeds
-let wp robot post when an article contains relevant keywords
-maybe also post youtube video's with relevant keywords (don't know if this gonna work)
-Not more then 6? posts a day
-post a banner in a sidebar of wordpress with a link to my webshop
-Repeat this progress for two or three other topics

Is it normal to post only an abstract (with link) or the whole post (if possible)? I would prefer to keep things a bit ethical and legal cause the link with my web store and the articles will come from my own country. I don't want to get copyright problems or a bad reputation. Just want to provide a sort of starting point where interested people can quickly be up to date about this topic.

Is this a good plan? Or am I missing something. Tips are welcome.

If you use Wizard RSS and put the RSS feed in, you'll be able to grab the full content from other websites, which is what I use.

The trick I find is trying to find RSS Feeds which don't include rubbish at the end of each news article, as you then have to keep going in to edit it. For example, asking the readers to email them, or links to other pages. WP Robot can make these links non hyperlinked, but the text will still appear.

I have created quite a few autoblogs and my view is that if you just want to set it up, have it create jusk content and forget it, you are wasting your time. It's going to get some traffic but probably not enough to justify the time to set it up. Especially if you are only doing one.

What I would do is try to create an auto blog with some decent content (dont read unique)

Think about if it is going to be worth your visitors staying around to read something.

If you are going to use wp-robot, I'd either stick with a few of the modules (yahoo answers is great) or commit to it being a semi auto blog and regularly go back and check your posts for crap ones.

You will also need to do some backlinking if you want any decent traffic so do some keyword research.

There are loads of tools around. Id recommend autoblog samuri (try the download section) in adition to wp robot as it helps you get good content easily.

Also, in the download section there is 'autoblog linker' which will help you automate the backlinks.

Autoblog samuri can remove the links and get full articles from the feeds. You can also edit the article. Its not totaly automated though.

Hey I couldn't find the autoblog linker. Anyone know where I can find it?

try the Free Auto Blogger (not really free). it supports many blog platforms. great for quality content. set and forget too.

however, i do suggest for your main blogs to provide quality content and really make them attractive.

for wordpress, auto link plugin is really good. Auto links your keywords. Easy to use and effective.
