But honestly, if you don't go gold don't bother doing this.... you need 10,000TEP to get 1$ and it takes 10x longer with a standard account.
Just my two cents! I'm going to continue this for a while.

$4 is achievable by gold only, by standard like $.40 is achievable?
To scale up is by getting others to join you although I am unsure of how that works exactly as I can't find the referral percentages anywhere -_-
I got to like $1.5 worth before they shut down for the move.

Normal Surfing: You click "next/continue/done" and go to the next website
Auto Surfing: It transitions between websites for you so you don't have to be there.
Standard account: 10000Tep = 10000 website views = $1
Gold account: 10000Tep = 1000 website views = $1
Gold is 10x faster and the only way to get money, still figuring out the percentage for referrals though.

This took me a minute as well, the only way I could figure it out is this
1) go to traffic exchange
2) click settings
3) there is "auto-surf", turn it on and update
4) It should say "you need a gold account, click HERE to get one"
5) click it and you can upgrade, that's the only way I was able to find it -_-
Yeah they are "migrating" whatever that truly means. Guess we'll have to see or I'll be disputing my charges lol

so let's say it pays you 4$ a day on gold account (it should be about 4,32 exactly if you're running it with full power 0-24)
so the only way to scale this up would be having 10-20 different accounts at the same time, obviously it's really against the rules, I don't know if there is any possible way to do such thing under the radar but if yes, probably it'd be unrealistically time-consuming and complicated especially when it comes to payments
however if you'd have 10 accs 4x30x10 = 1200$ a month with 300$ investment, 900$ profit on pure auto-pilot ain't sound bad
