Are there any other Ping lists out there that would help out? The one listed doesn't seem to work for me anymore =(

Hey,

1) May you please re-upload or recheck your images please.

2) When I click on Submit (For: Wp-o-Matic) it gives me some sort of an error like: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/****/public_html/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 634

Do you've any clue how that may be fixed please?

Thanks in Advance
Tiger

Interesting. Following so I can come back when I make it home =)

I'm going to try try this method when I get more money. I really like how the process doesn't rely on google at all. Many people say that auto blogs don't work because google doesn't like the duplicate content but with this method you could be deindexed and it still wouldn't matter very cool. +Rep

You can just edit your php.ini and change 'memory_limit = 32M' to 'memory_limit = 64M'. I think it will solve your problem.

This method is dated. It's a waste of time honestly.

I think we all need to keep in mind the fact that specific tools do become outdated over time. Even particular methods can become less productive.

I enjoyed reading this OP for its insight, strategy, and thoughtfulness. I think most of the concepts shared here can be adapted for current usage. We just need to keep in mind the importance of remaining flexible in the execution of our autoblog plans.

In response to people saying this information is dated.... obviously it is, but I still found the guide extremely helpful. Just spent a large part of today setting up a site using the guide and messing with it a bit, going to share some of what helped me.

Don't use the sitemap generator in the OP, google webmaster tools doesn't seem to like it. Got it working using google-sitemap-generator (google it I can't post links...) off the wordpress .org site.

In addition to stumbleupon to find blogs to add to your feed, check technorati's top blogs for your keyword, then scroll down like 4 or 5 pages. Then you'll start getting into blogspot blogs that you can easily pull feeds from. Was faster for me than stumbling and finding garbage sites.

With regards to ads, I tried a couple different add plugins but really they were even more convoluted and confusing than just creating the ads in adsense (yes i'm using adsense, trying to go the WH traffic route instead of buying it :p ) and then pasting the code that adsense gives you into your template (put it in your template not in individual posts).

I am by no means an expert (even though I work in IT this is my first attempt at a site and wordpress in general). I do have coding knowledge which helped with getting everything together. For anyone skeptical about doing it, godaddy is having a hosting sale on their basic package for 2 bucks a month for 3 months (thats what I did) just to try it out and see how it goes. If it totally flops you're only out less than 10 bucks (.org/.net domains onsale for crazy cheap there too).

Ok... long post.... in closing... i'll report back in 3 months and let you guys know if I hit my goal (setting a low goal of 100 bucks in the 3 months i've got paid for in hosting). The site I made using the method is

todaystech .org

(still very much a work in progress.... but its getting there for only being a day old)
Feel free to pm me and I can try to help out with anything ya'll are running into since its fresh in my mind :)

I'll read the rest of the article in a minute. I've written a lot of posts on BHW about my auto blog journey and I've not made a penny. I think each week I was getting about 1,000 hops with about 4-5 order form impressions and about 5p from adverts. I had about 20 autoblogs with all kinds of fabulous, weird and wonderful tools running generating visits etc. Ultimately I my main site got slapped (still not sure how Google found out!) I think I used the same admin email or something and yes they were on different hosts and IPs. I may take another look at it, but will need another host because I'll be willing to bet the IPs from my previous host are all in the search engines bad graces.
