Auto Blogging and Blogger

So I wrote an application that consumes a configurable RSS feed and updates multiple blogs I created on Blogger from the RSS feeds. It's really based upon an auto blogging strategy that I saw here on BHW. So I decided that was cool and thought... why not throw some ads in between the auto article posts. Well, Google caught on as my blog was flagged as a spam blog by Blogger and now is going to need to be reviewed by a human. Do you think it was the RSS feeds or the ads that tipped them off. I have since removed the ads (ads were from CJ). I'm assuming it was the ads, but I created 4 auto blogs and only 1 of them was flagged so far. Is this just a normal part of this auto blog game (get flagged and just create another blog) or do I need to alter the app to feed in other content as well in between the RSS feed posts? I'm sure that can't hurt but I am just wondering if this is a common occurrence or not.

Not really... It's basically just the rss feed plus some generic text and links to another one of my sites. I can inject more content pretty easily though.

I've had legit blogger blogs marked as spam blogs or 'splogs' before & I just followed the instructions in the e-mail & it was fine 24 hours later. Probably because you/the app posted too much to look like a human posted it but you should still be fine. Definitely wasn't the CJ ads

Okay, that's a relief... I'll turn everything back on then and let it ride. I am working on dynamically altering the content and inserting more non-rss feed data into the mix. As long as it is automated... it's all good with me.

I have never had a blog "flagged" over at Blogger; I guess I have been lucky. I tend to keep my auto-posting to one post a day on most blogs, so that probably doesn't raise any eyebrows.

I have before, I put a redirecter to my affiliate(or whatever there called) flagged in 5mins.. but its funny if you go to the blog it still takes you to the affiliate..haha
