-I have questions about quality monitoring. Any plans for grammar/uniqueness/copyscape/etc checking at the central point? Alternatively could we provide an easy means for individual site owners to see a list of what was added to their site that day and monitor if they feel the content is inappropriate or not up to standards? I don't want any laziness or outright abuse to ruin the whole thing...

Yes, im sure we can easily add an admin section for each member to see whats been submitted to their site. Where they can easily report things like blatant spam or abuse. Or generally shit quality articles. But we should take into account that this is spun content, so no need for grammar nazi's to go crazy. But I agree that we need a publisher feedback system.

We can issue infractions to a member who repeatedly fails to meet standards when they submit content, if they continue to submit poor quality material then they get banhammered.

-I'm similarly concerned about "It will all be automated, so people can easily join without having to sit and wait for a response from either me or the other admin." I mean, I get it...but if it becomes TOO easy to join, seems like the chance for abuse goes way up. Adding a couple hoops for people to jump through would hopefully limit this.

I agree. The registration would be easy enough for the user on the front end, but thats not to say there wont be stringent checks goin on in the back end.

Hi G-S-T i like this feedback system you're referring too! with our self-policing system, the organization will be kept in order and will not regarded as spam.

I would like to be a member of this project, do you mind helping with with what things do i need to do to be a member?

Mostly just wait right now while they prepare the scripts for usage.
You could be finding a good domain and getting that registered, if you wanted (i did).
If you already have hosting in mind, maybe check with G-S-T to make sure the IP/C block is acceptable.

Great idea, but I see one problem here...

Only 1 platform = big footprint
XX platforms = *more* work / organizational problems

or maybe 1 platform with different front ends? Like "fake" WP/pligg/...whatever, running on the same platform. :)

Anyway I'd be interested in this :)

I already have a domain, starting to prepare the site within few days.

BTW, How about uploading the reports as a zip/rar format to mediafire, rapidshare or anywhere like that, so that G spy cant read the contents of the info sent?

The issue is a G spy joining the network by adding a domain. Then posting, which is AA, then getting the report. BAM, network gone.

count me in.

I vote for different platform as it will reduce the footprint.

This is a very good idea ! seems like the rules will be put together soon, got everything set up already, looking forward to it !

Im in too, let me know what I need and how many sites I need

I've already bought a domain for this. Please tell me what more I need to do.

I do feel that having a minimum PR is important. Even newbies understand the value of good PR and quality.

Not exactly rocket science to put "Powered By Wordpress" in your footer. :naughty:

Hi

Count me too I will setup few sites today

Btw I have an idea if some how we crawl the article url by member name then I can create social bookmarking system which will submit each article to fixed numbe of social bookmarking site,

Or we can add Social Bookmarking site to this network and post auto bookmark of each posted article

That's it? I was thinking about url structure, meta tags and stuff like that. :)

You can strip meta tags in WP. And you can make your permalink URL structure pretty much anything you want. That being said, if the directory script will allow for editing, nothing stops you from faking your meta tags to look like you really do run Wordpress.

-Randomization is good. Obviously we'd all like as many good links as possible, but part of keeping the "good" is not having a footprint. I'll take fewer submissions if it keeps the network good. Also it seems like there is enough interest that 75 or 50% will still be plenty of links.

-I understand the concern on the report. Perhaps one approach is to create some sort of qualifications that need to be met before you will get reports. I have no idea what this SHOULD be, but ideas would be amount of time in the network, number of sites, PR of sites. Maybe there are other ways like if you get to know someone well enough on bhw to trust them, whatever.

-Thanks for considering adsense. I don't expect to make a ton (maybe I'm wrong), but it's nice to have provisions to hopefully defray registration and hosting costs.

Hi again,

Will we be employing daily posting limit per account (or per website) to keep the integrity of network (maybe for at least during the first few months of operation)? I would personally like it to be similar to BMR in the sense that it employs a daily post limit / domain as to keep the network below G00gl3's radar.

On the idea of webmasters having a way to self police, the concept is very good but will it work in a very large scale?

Should we start accounting (making a list of) all the aspiring members of the network, so we'll have an idea how many are really interested with this project.

I think we should also have a chart of the project's timeframe so we can set real targets / deadlines

I personally think that the OP, the default leader of the group, could and should start organizing the aspirants so he can divide some tasks within the group. We have many intelligent aspirants with very good ideas so IMHO, our OP should also on strategizing for the network.

I am very excited about this network. If we can make this work (im actually sure we would), this would be a milestone for BHW. :)
