Would be a nice add to have a limited number of article submited on each site in the network.

Doing it in the way you suggested ( @G-S-T ) opens up some room for problems:
a) What if a user post ALOT of articles?
b) How do you keep "banned" users out?
c) How do you track all the domains and weather they are still actively helping or the user that created that domain is just "leeching"?
If we'd do it in a custom (wirte a 2 part script, manage domain - article directory domains) way, we could work out a creditsystem and could also delete articles posted by banned users.

I think we should stick to 1 peculiar article directory platforms for automation purpose.
I believe we could bring directories with page rank and total page rank = number of articles allowed to be posted / day (like a network we know)
And we should fix a minimum requirement of 3 directories on 3 different C-class IP per person so it would bring a great value.
And i believe we could extend it to social bookmarking sites too

wkrappen91 and I are working on a system to manage this effectively.
We will use 1 standard script, that has the smallest footprint we can get away with, so Google doesnt see too much.
Then we will have a login interface on a different domain, where members can easily login and submit their article once and our server will do the hard work.
This will also make it easy to ban and delete all articles from any member found abusing the system.

OK this sounds useful. I don't have a domain or directory setup yet but I'd been thinking about them recently and this sounds like a way to pick up some experience without the moderation hassle.
So, noob question to start - does domain matter? Kinda hard to get an EMD for diverse articles.

Just a few notes from one of the "little guys" that is interested in this...
-I don't really like the idea of a credit system, nor do I really see an issue with "too many articles" being added, as long as the quality is good and people don't get stupid with spammy backlinking...am I missing something? It seems like if we step up to be a part of this we should be able to use it as needed?
-I understand the need and simplicity of the centralized "controller" domain, but then it begs the question who wields the banhammer and also how much control does an individual have over their own site?
-I get that for people wanting to add multiple domains, the C-class thing is important. But if I'm just adding one, is it a huge deal if I just add it to my same shared hosting? If we all did it seems like our locations and hosting choices alone would bring the IP diversity we're looking for?

I assume most people will get a domain with "article", "articles", or "directory" in it. There's plenty of them still out there and I don't think google will really bat an eye if a bunch of article directories have article in the name, since it only makes sense, lol.

In that case, we all should wait till you two come up with both scripts (at least the directory script).

This wasn't suggested by me.
The way its going to work is: There will be a limit as to how many articles any 1 user can submit each day. This will ensure fair usage. If a member wants to opt out of the network, then they can do so at any time, they will simply have their publisher account closed. We will monitor their domain and as long as they keep their site live, their articles will stay in the network. If they try and be sneaky and just join for a month, then leave and delete the site, we will just delete all their articles.
Regarding the overall ruling, wkrappen91 and I will be managing the project, so the final decision will be ours. Members will have the ability to report and spammy articles.
We will have certain topics that are not allowed, Viagra, Porn, Casino, online meds and so on will all be shitlisted. Anyone found in violation will loose their membership rights and all articles from that user will be gone.
If members want to add additional domains on C-class Ip's, then they may do so and they will have an increased daily submission limit. But anyone can join as long as they have a domain thats hosted on a C-class IP thats not already in our system.

To me that means I may not be able to use my standard hosting account...OR, if I get in early enough, then I'd luck out and it would be the first one on that C-class?
Sorry if this is all blatantly obvious stuff to someone who isn't me...

Im sure it wont be an issue until we have over 100 members, but if it does become an issue, we can manually review a members application and check the individuals circumstances.

Yeah, i can see a small issue. But for places like godaddy and hostgator, they hand out different nameservers for each account, so its very unlikely that the same 2 members will have the same nameservers on the same IP.
In the case where 10 members all have a hostgator account on the same C-class ip, then we can check to see if at least their nameservers are different.
This will stop people making 20 sites on their 1 hostgator account. If they want to have extra sites in the system, they will have to make new hostgator accounts in order to get a different nameserver. Sure they can be an asshole and get 1 cent coupons, but after a month they will need to pay up to hostgator or their hosting account will be closed.
The system will monitor domains to see if they are live, if they are down for 3 days in a row, then we will manually review the situation and take action.
