authority site vs targeted niche site

Lets say you had a niche about communication devices and you wanted to cover.. old school cell phones, smart phones, PDA's, pagers(1990 ), etc..

Would it be better to make a site on each individual topic and target them separately?

or would it be better to make an authority site that covers all of these devices?

micro niche site is for short time earning solution .Its like build a site ,post content ,do little seo and rank with targated keyword .Earn few bucks and keep this site 4-6 month and then flip that.
But to create a authority site ,you should have very good plan and more importantly you should have a good amount of budget as well should have time in your hand to build it .

According to my opinion. Both the sites are useful.
I will prefer minimum of high DA sites and maximum of Niche sites.
Because high DA sites, price is little bit high compare to niche post. But its powerful to get more traffic to our website.
For me both are useful.

Both. Build out the niche sites for some quick cash, cause the authority site is going to take some time and a pretty penny for all the content you're going to have to get out there. So why not make it a two pronged attack?

I've written something about this in another thread so I am going to quote myself here:

Pros for building a big project:

- A higher trust level with google, espacially if you brand the site well
- A Branded Website can also increase CTR
- The bigger your website gets, the more trust and quality backlinks it gains, the easier it gets to rank new keywords, you can rank thousands of small keywords easily that way

Pros for building several smaller projects:

- Not putting all your "eggs in one basket" - if you get panalized you have a chance to keep income as some sites might survive
- Simpler to set up as a lot less thought has to go into the proper silo structures but less easy to rank several smaller keywords later as it will have a smaller trust than a bigger well branded website would have


Branded, authority websites are much better for long term projects whereas small niche sites are good for short term earnings but not so great in the long run.

Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. But as things continue to grow uncertain, its best to have multiple sites instead of depending exclusively upon one.

What do you want? Do you want to make money in short time or you are looking for long term earning? For short term earning you can go for micro niche sites and for long term earning you can go for authority sites. Now take your decision, what you want to do?

I would suggest both, because both of them have their own benefits. So use both of them depending on your requirements.
