Just doing this to keep track and to let your participate on my journey.

Right now I'm mainly doing SEO consulting for established companies, which is very profitable but time consuming.

Back in 2014 / 2015 I had some successful niche sites but I sold them to get some cash.

----

So I decided to create a new authority site, to create a new income stream. My goal is to reach 15k / month, which should be do able (I did my due diligence).

---

What happend so far?

I've my website ready and some content is online. It has 3 buying guides and 17 posts. Round about 40k words.

It's build on an expired domain, it has been dropped and I hope it's not burnt. So, if this site isn't going to rank within next 3 months I'll have to change the domain.

I plan to achieve the 15k within next 12-18 months.

What is your strategy to achieve this result?

When did the site go live and what sort of traffic are you getting to it currently with the existing posts? Or has it not been up long enough for that?

Check google console for notifications regarding the domain. Good luck.

Is it amazon affiliate site? Keep going. All the best with your journey :)

Yes, it is.

Well, ranking it :D

A few weeks ago. Not really a lot traffic, maybe 5-20 visitors a day on informational posts.

There are no notifications.

15k is quite ambitious. But you seem to know quite a lot about SEO, which is the most difficult part in this journey. Not worried about you. Enjoy the ride.

That's why I did my due diligence before. I know what other sites in that niche make.

your backlinks strategy?
Is great.

Jk, but too complex to explain it here. Just google for one, there are thousands of working strategies.

will you build your own PBNs or focus on Guestposts and niche edits?

dont want to know how aquire it, just the type.

Will you wait to invest in links before the expired is confrmed to be working or do you still invest in links still if the risk of a burned domain is present? not sure what to do with my own domains.

any specs we can get on your domain?

ref domain? price?

I mostly do guestposts. And, I never (!) do PBNs. I wanna build a sustainable business.

Backlinks: Quality > Quantity

When I outreach to someone I get a very salesy answer like 10 posts = 20% discount I directly decline.

Keep in mind you wanna build quality.

You are aiming for a high number. Wish you luck.

One of my employees is now adding more informational content to the site. In total the site is going to have ~30 blog posts than.

I'll start add more buying guides once the site starts to rank.

Can you tell something about the niche you want to rank?

Good luck!

Do you do guest post outreach by yourself?
I don't do the research. But, I'm the to use the outreach tool and I negotiate the prices.

Update:

Articles are added and formatted into WordPress. I'll publish one each week.

I want to see if the site is going to rank. I'll give it 8-12 weeks, since I'm already adding backlinks from editorial articles.

If it is not, I may have to switch domains.
