Sure I did, I said, "As to backlinking, a balanced backlink infrastructure usually works very well as part of the entire body of work and is good for the times that Google makes significant changes in their algorithms." I could not give anything definitive as all SEO should be specific to a particular site

There are a million tools out there for that; we have one that was developed in house by one of my partners that is not for commercial use but take a look at any one of the popular ones and you'll get a feel for each KW you are interested in targeting.

Why don't you spend some time reading the White Hat SEO section here as that will give you a lot of information on backlinks. Backlinks are a fundamental in the web site ranking process and there is a lot of information about them there.

The actual process is different for every site I build and should be for every one you build as well.

Not to steal your thunder BTB but this I what I dont when I first started nick....

Set up about 5 different wordpress blogs for different niches. I got a bunch of content, some from BST some self made and posted it onto these web 2.0 blogs all targeting different keywords over a MASSIVE spread of competition. I then put it all in my rank tracker and observed.

About two weeks later I took the ones that had ranked top 300 without and backlinks and spent about a week (12 hour plus days if I remember rightly as it landed over christmas so I didnt have to work.) I started noting down anything that was similar about the keywords that I could find. Then I got more content for keywords that matched these criteria and posted it all.

Again I waited a while and observed, this time the majority of the keywords ranked top 300 with no backlinks at all. About a month later I started different backlinking methods on different test batches of keywords and came up with my own method that I am only just starting to scale on personal blogs after using it on ebay pages with great success.

So basically..... test, analyse, test, analyse, and repeat until you have a method and then finally scale.....

I am not offering anything for sale on this thread or even related to this thread.

This is just to share some of what I know about ranking a decent sized site and making money from it.

I think he's referring to my reply where I said I get content from the BST, if that's so it's just the Buy, Sell, Trade section right here on the forum, it has its own content section, and has a direct link from the navigation menu on the left.

Some are exact anchor, some are long tailed, some are synonyms, some are branded, some are naked urls.
 
do you strictly link your web 2.0's to your money sites or do you link out to random pages as well? thanks for the help!
