Authority site mistyped link, register?

So while scraping for broken links, I found an article on a big authority site in my niche with a mistyped link to an non existent site.

Now having a link from that authority site would be good.

If I register that mistyped link and redirect it to my moneysite would it pass juice?

yes, but don't expect too much from 1 link. u may build tier 2 links to that article to give more power to link.

Yes, domains that are redirected to another site will pass its link juice.

Yeh I know. I was just unsure cause this site never existed in the first place and just has this authority site linking to it.
