I have higher quality backlinks and legit Facebook likes to my page that I'm trying to rank than anyone else on the top 10, but yet I sit around 7-8 and the number one spot has literally no content, no backlinks, fucking nothing, and they are sitting firmly at spot 1. Does my overall site have to have more backlinks than they do? I just find it bullshit that everything about my site is better and they reap all the reward from nothing.
Authority is everything in my opinion . . .

Due to recent updates, I'm thinking about going the authority route... MN sites are just too risky lately. I see less people with authority sites complaining after updates, so I think its time to make a change.

Yes I am aware of the recent updates. The two respondents were a little vague and I did not understand if they wanted backlinks from authority sites or if they wanted to create authority sites.
