Authority Blog - SEO Problem

Hello, BHW!

Three months ago, I decided to get in the "authority game". I bought an authority blog from one of the services here.
The blog is with a static homepage, the new articles come up with e link in the sidebar (latest articles).
20 articles x 50 words + brand domain

What I've done so far:
One fresh article every 3 days (600-1200 words with picture) $1.1/100 words
-every article is focused on one keyword - %2 density (800-30000 searches/ month)
Ezine article
Social Signals (300-400 - fb,g+,twt)
G+ page, FB page, Twitter account, Pinterest board
Social bookmarking
The Lion's Mane II - Sherlock Hacks Google
Get in Google News - White Hat Premium Press Release Writing & Submission

Most of the keywords are not even in top 300. What can be the problem ? Do I need to continue the link building or to slow it down ?
I thought to start building links to each article, is it a good idea or not ? Till now 90% of the links are to the homepage.

News Flash OP, you DID NOT buy an Authority Blog.
You may have bought the base for an Authority Blog.
Also I always thought with an Authority Blog you should be thinking longer term.
Why the rush to Build Links?
Isn't it better to be a bit more WH with Authority Blogs?
I would have thought that looking for natural growth (organic traffic, natural links back to you) would be the best indicator that you are succeeding.
Anyway, just my opinion, I don't have an Authority Blog so may be totally wrong.

Call it an authority once you have a shit ton of articles that really bring something to that niche's audience.

20 articles is like the very base if you really want it to be an authority... An authority site is plagued with articles, THOUSANDS of them and it is likely to see 2 to 5 articles added per day... of course you want to have full time writers on it.

And realistically, do not start the link building up until you have around 100 articles MIN... work on the internal linking and make sure the content is great.

I agree with you. My opinion for sites which are authority is different, but I use this word because its easier to understand i.e. frequently updated, not microniche with 4 articles.
The thing with natural growth is too optimistic for me, yes for Matt Cutts it can be the perfect way, but Its not easy to achieve popularity only with content.

If it high competitive keywords?Did you do proper onpage seo?

15-20 articles is just enough content to clear your mini-site of the appearance of being 'thin' or made for Adsense in Google's eyes, thus minimizes a penalty or de-ranking on that basis---but it remains a mini-site nonetheless. I agree a true authority site ideally has thousands of pages, but a 150-200 page site with several defined sections can serve as the base of an authority site. Links should definitely be dripped or staggered in for safest site/link development as far as G goes.

Authority blog is good for keyword ranking and referral traffic so the post your blog into good website

If that is an authority blog then my mini sites must be CNN quality.
