Aussie Mastermind - Interested?

how is the membership going to be screened, some people will come in off proxies, so you cannot geo limit users easily.

there is one way, and thats accent LOL :D

I think i would crack up into fits of laughter if some dood came into an audio chat and started with Gday Mate, hows the sheilas going..

Your right we will have a screening process to both authenticate how people will be screen for their skilz and also location.

Hey Simo thanks for the offer. We want to make sure that we define exactly what the objectives will be etc. and have it planned out correctly before sending out invitations et.

So at this stage I think we are ok but don't worry I will shout out if we need some skilz :)

I'm hoping to have a clear picture by the end of this week. The site is already in place. We just want to make sure its set out correctly as if its not structured correctly its easy to end in a mess.

You want people to prove they are dinkem? Ask them for the plot of last weeks Kath and Kim. As for the Kiwis, don't worry about them. Most of them have already moved to Oz. :D

Quite frankly I have never thought about making "Australian" web sites. I have assumed that the US was the big market. Why promote to 20 million people when you can promote to 300 million? Still, it is worth thinking about.

Here's my complaint. There are no good Australian forums that I know about.
I keep getting banned from whirlpool.com.au for telling people where to get off.

Are there any good forums for Aussies to have their say on news and current events?

I have searched for forums for Australians running small businesses. Sod all.

I think there is a good market to help Australians learn about how to use the Internet and promote their little (existing) business or how to make money online.

In other words, count me in. If you need someone to cast the first stone then I will set up a private forum where we can discuss how we can help each other.

Hey Wombat, thanks for the message mate glad to hear your interested. Mate it wouldn't be solely focused on promoting to the Down Under market. Its a group of like minded Aussie's and Kiwis who share the same interest and would like to benefit from expressing and collaborating on ideas and opinions.

You are totally right about the market in the US there is enough for everyone, the good thing about this site is we would all be facing the same issues when trying to tap into that market from a foreign location.

Thank you for your offer to help and I will give you a shout if needed. This will happen and will be great mate :)

Just found this post and it sounds like a great idea. Count me in.

Kath and Kym - From memory Kym is pregnant and they had the pregnancy classes. Kath bought a labradoodle but had to sell it because it was pissing everywhere.

Think that should be enough.

Anyway have you worked out whether the forum will be invite only? If it is how would I go about getting an invite?

The more kiwi jokes the better. My business partner is a kiwi and he is always giving me shit about the rugby (Union).

hehehe well at least we are doing quite well in the league :)

This will be invite only and we haven't sent out any invites yet. We are classifying the different skilz, the level of skilz....etc.

But don't worry everyone will know once it happens. I'm hoping to have that side of things ready by the end of this week.

Putting up a site is not a problem most people can do that pretty quick. We just want to get the right, group objectives and goals, people skilz, group vibe etc. So that needs some planning on how it will be screened.
 
Yeah this sounds like a brilliant idea, i've always been trying to find a forum aimed at Aussie BH. Perhaps maybe open for 30 days then invite only?
 
ill be interested in discussing Tax and how IM in Aus are dealing with it, and i have a couple methods i can share with the kangaroo gang
 
I'm an hour from bwh...Mandurah

7 years FT WH newish to BH broad skills. Proof of citizenship...ummm I owned an eh panel van when I was 17 and used to root at the drive-in on a friday night
 
Last I was in perth they were demo'ing buildings in the city to build a train line to mandurah, they ever finish that?

You must be about my age if you can remember going to the drive in. There arn't that many left now.

I had an EH Panel Van many years ago, gunmetal grey and a 138 Hydromatic, a bit of wood got into the engine bay. (I hit a tree). It was given a proper burial at sims metal.

I'm putting together a slightly blackhat CPA method at the moment geared towards Australians (although it could work just about anywhere.) I'd be happy to release it on an aussie site.

I have just finished the header graphics for the site (I can have a pretty dry / sick sense of humour so don't get offended :)). Anyway its not about how the site looks its about the content on the inside and hopefully we can all share that.

I'm opening a new host account now and will be running the site with punBB. This should be done tonight or tomorrow.

I have defined that specialities of interest and think that everyone should benefit if we can get a group to cover these skilz.

I need everyone to throw out their thoughts on how many people should be allowed in, if the doors should be opened for the first 30 days etc.
