Audible to MP3 conversion for free?

I have a ton of audio books I have bought and want to share them for free with some friends (and any of you guys if you need them), but they are in aa format and I want to convert them to mp3 for free if possible. Have looked online, but can't see anything. Any of you guys know a way to do this? Would be most grateful for your help.

The hard way is to use your "Sterio Mix" device in your recording devices settings and just record it using Windows Recorder. So whatever your speakers play Windows Recorder will record it. So instead of microphone it will use your speakers directly as a microphone(no outside noise will be recorded).

Any other ideas? the recording one will take too long, I have 100's of hours worth. Thanks though

Thanks, already googled. Found nothing. A few scam sites trying to get me to download crap or grab my email. Thanks though mate.
