Howdy!
A little bit about me. I’m a musician with a humble white hat YT channel of about 2k (completely organic) subscribers. I post mostly acoustic covers, because that’s what gets the people going in my genre. Most of my videos get about 300 views and then plateau. There have been a couple that have broken through and grown to 20k views over several year. Once, I went mildly viral and got 130k views over the course of a day. But by many metrics, I’m not a “successful” channel.
That said, I’ve been featured as a guest artist on a prominent channel (800k subs) in my niche more than a handful of times. I’m certain the mega fans on that channel will know exactly who I was if I could just get in front of them. What’s more, that larger channel is one in a small ecosystem of independent artists who have all captured the same market.
So, here’s my question: what strategies (BH/WH) can I put into place to get the algorithm to push my content to that larger audience of 800k? I’m convinced that if I could just get in front of it, things would catch on, and I would capture the same audience.
For the record, I’m not looking to just capitalize on the views and make a quick buck. I’m an artist in search of my audience, and unlike many another artists, I know exactly where it is. The intention is to nurture it into a real career.
Thanks in advance!
