Would anyone know whether getting 19 affiliates on the first day my product was launched on CB is good, or is that about normal??

Not going to spam the product in here because that's not what this post is about. This is my first product so I'm generally interested to know if that's a good number.

To be honest I'm quite happy about having 19 already, but just not sure if that's good or normal and if I should be working harder to promote it to affiliates.

Give it another week or so, before you see how good your cb product is. You'll then notice alot of 1 hop affiliates and then you'll notice which affiliates are activley promoting your product on a full time basis.

If you want more affiliates, I suggest you set up a JV page and establish rewards for your top affiliates. e.g. #1 gets a $1000 bonus, #2 get $500 etc.

Always follow through with the awards. This will built up your name and reputation, which means you'll start getting the same regular affiliates promoting your product launches.

You could also make custom banners and pre written articles tailored to your product that may be used by your affiliates.

19 isn't bad, but a lot of them will likely sell 0-1.... 100-150 should be your target.

Mate, if this affiliates will drive you converting traffic then it's a very good amount for the first day... if they will just gonna send you 2 visitors/month then it's the average number.

Thanks guys, will look into the JV thing. I've already got an affiliate's resource page with a sh*tload of banners and articles/email responders, I think that has worked in my favour.

Mate, you should contact each affiliate and see how serious he is, give them some tips etc P That's the way to go , believe me

EZClickmate is okay too for getting affiliate contact information and keeping close to affiliates. You can also do some decent tracking. Check it out.

Yeah I'm not real sure what happened. Kind of forgot about checking the stats in CB so I had a look and there was a list of people and hops lol. I noticed when I went into Google Analytics there was traffic coming from a couple websites that advertise newly released CB products, so that could be where some came from.

It's good if they promote the product, not so good if they do nothing or just buy it through their own hoplinks though even that helps gravity.
