1. The bunch of closed unanswered questions on their forums. Wastes time and serps. Older irrelevant threads, esp. about ancient builds should be put on noindex.
2. No easy access to the actual html that will be generated when a post is loaded.
3. Archiving previous versions of the templates. Right now I have to save things manually to .txt files before experimenting or risk breaking things with no way of recovering except full restore which would wipe any other working changes.
4. Why is it so bloated? Playing around for a day fomatting a single post, 2 pages and 10 categories resulted in 50 megs traffic. All content just text, the only image was the header (15kb).
5. Stop suggesting plugins when replying to questions from people clearly having a clue how actual source code works and are looking for a tweak, not a black-box-solution.
6. Disable folder indexing by default. Right now 99% of the blogs have their files neatly available for anyone to snatch.
7. Allow for turning off the RSS feeds manually. A real killswitch, not half-working plugins.
8. Allow for adding robot metatags on a per-post basis.
9. (Easy access to) internal sitemap generator.
Of course, these points are only valid if the surveyor is interested in making WP even more flexible in terms of becoming a webpage generator in addition to being a blog generator. They are not intended as bashing.
Oh, and finally, generate the folder naming convention randomly with each install instead of the wp-'something'. It will reduce spam a lot. And yes, I know it can already be done manually before the installation but it was too late for me.
