Feeling bad for you as getting hacked is really a bad thing.

lol, Sounds like a good trick. They had you in their sites. You werent hacked. This was social engineering. They used misdirection to get you to perform an action that gave them access to your account. You gotta be more careful when interacting with people online.
 
open a thread @ google gmail forum.
they have good customer support.
you will be able to get account back.

Bloody hackers. They need to move out of the mums basement and find something worth while to actually do.

It is a little careless to be honest, but yet everyone could fall into this. It was smart and not the usual way of keylogger/botnet bla bla stuff...

After few seconds i got a mail that there is some unusual activity in my gmail account so i change my password immediately in the next few seconds but it was too late
When i tried to recover my password from my alternate email id and phone number i saw that both the 2 way verification process is disabled now.

I dont think i was careless
I was just trying to help a newbie like before who was looking to stand on his own feet

I am not saying that you are not careless, helping somebody out with my real mobile number is something we shouldn't do. But lessons learned, I guess.
The method also implies targeting, which shows that you are hated somehow. Social engineering is also an art of hacking that requires a semblance of targeting (you can't just fire and forget, like most script-kiddie tools)
When the attackers have reset your password, immediately they will gain access to most of your things. They could easily change the mobile number and the recovery emails.

I hate to be blunt, but it was pretty careless. It was a social engineering attack. That's some pretty noobish hacking. I'm actually getting a degree in cyber security so maybe I'm just a little more experienced with these things. I've also been tuned into the haxing culture for years so I pretty much know every attack in the book. As long as you got your account back then you're ok. Change everything though. Could you share the link? Maybe in a PM so that others don't click on it.
 
You should post all their details. Acc names and skype ids.

There will always be scumbags. Always have to be careful.

I dont think there is any need of displaying his details as it doesnt takes time to create a new account with different info

Though i m going to send his details to the moderators to get him banned atleast

Why would you give someone your personal phone number for a email verification.
If i'm not mistaken you provide pva codes and gmail pva .If the answer is yes then its totally your fault that you gave your personal phone number to verify his gmail account.
Its just like a stranger requesting you to give your phone for 5min he needs to make an urgent call and you end up in a prison.

I havent started this thread to talk about how stupid or careless im

My main motto was to aware you from the hacker who is trying different ideas to hack our friends account..
I m not only the sufferer but there are few more who are suffering ..

How can someone by knowing your phone number, actually take control of your gmail?

Why has the phone safety verification failed?

This is the part i dont understand
