Attacked by negative SEO

Hello,

my website has tons of links with viagra anchor that have recently appeared.

Is it most likely hacked or competitors are trying to do negative SEO?

Can someone help me identity the source, I'll be happy to pay for the help.

Fuck them, I just wonder if theres a way to track who did it and do it back at them x 3
 
These days there is no point to go, with high competition niches, because pretty much every each of them will lead to this problem. Either try to go with some less compettitive niches. Good luck!
 
Why not check the links with ahrefs and disavow them.
When i compete in hard niches i have learned to check my backlinks two times a day to spot any Neg Seo so i can react quickly.

You can try disavow but it sucks just create a new site. If you those guys just fuck their sites.

hmm not possible but it is for sure one of top 10 competitors, maybe someone with a serious black hat linkbuilding compaign.
 
Try to check all the competitors link profiles. See if it is happening with other competitors. The one that doesn't have shit links is your culprit 99% of the time. Process of elimination.

This is happening a lot lately. Sorry for your loss bro.
 
If bad links are being made then it is Negative SEO and your site is not hacked. Second you need to disavow the bad links. And last but not the least keep an eye on backlinks frequently through ahrefs or whatever your preferred source is.
 
It has unfortunately become a trend these days, you cannot figure out who did it just like google cannot tell who built links to your sites.

Ahrefs lets you monitor own domain so check them out, you have to upload a file to verify ownership.
