They officially signed it today. I've been running away from At&t. When I was with Cingular, they bought them. I ditched At&t last year for T-mobile and now At&t is buying them too.. ahhhh :(

I have Verizon and I've never had a problem with them. Just a tad bit expensive on data plans but it's going to be within 5-10$ on any other network anyway.

Never had any issues with at&t. Had sprint before and their coverage sucked.

I've had Sprint for 3 years and the phone has been great. I have gone to place's where my friend's would have no service and I'd be at like 3 bars. Hell it even worked in some little small town in Mexico.

I'm with Tmobile... heard that Verizon better with services with data from people I know... but who knows...

Is there anything super unique with Verizon that I should consider instead of sticking around with Tmobile/ATT??

They will make a great team. Shitty customer service combined with shitty coverage.

They didn't buy them. They made their official offer.

Personally I think that this would've gone through under the old administration but due Obama's way of handling things this will tied up by regulartors for years most likely if it is even ever approved. Remember they split the phone companies up into many different ones originally (ever wonder why its called bellsouth instead of bell) to create more competition and they have been slowly buying eachother up again. This is a really big deal though and most of those have been pretty small.

Watch for the govt to fuck over people trying to do business yet again. What ever happened to being a capitalist in America.

i'd get rid of at&t i got a letter 2 days ago in the mail that starting next month they will start capping bandwidth to only 150gb a month witch they used to me unlimited if you have the uverse package you get 250gb and if you go over it will cost 10 bucks per 50gb so if you got netflix are game online you are pretty much screwed

Yup, they actually all did this for new contracts about 2-4 months back, if you were trying to sign up and didn't already have a plan unlimited was no longer available.. Those who had contracts before will be losing it at some point depending on your provider. In the next couple of years nobody will any longer be offering unlimited because of the extra $$s it will cost them to put in new infrastructure at a faster pace. Guess they didn't think smart phones would be as big as they are.

I'm sure in 5 or 6 more years when they make a buttload of money off of overages and get caught up then unlimited will be available again.

BTW this is the driving force behind them buying T-Mobile - MANY more cell towers to run on. Even paying billions to acquire them is cheaper than building that many more towers.

News is that Sprint will be soon acquired by Verizon !!

Yay even less providers and more of a monopoly, when will this country wake up...
