Hi, as you can see new here, but not the first time I have been peeking around.

Recently wanted to start something new, a very different niche of "digital products"
so i need some help with payment processors, the situation I am stuck in is bothering me for weeks by now, so I am looking for some people that have some experience with either one.

What should I do?
Should I start selling on Whop, where it's easy to get everything running, OR, should I try and get a high risk payment processor, DurangoMS, PaymentCloud, etc...

Fees do not bother me, they can be even 15%, but all I want and need are fast payouts, and no I do not want to be creating a stripe account because i do not want to deal with them..

Excuse me, I'd like to know what obstacles exist between your payer and payee that prevent you from receiving payment normally?

I don't know much about these things, so I want to learn more about them.

Whop looks fun yes. What is your USP/Product?

you're being way too vague for anyone to give you meaningful advice, like what exactly are you selling or what type of digital product atleast. Whop isn't a payment process, but a full architecture that provides a service for people to fully scale a business through their platform which also includes their own payment processor. There's sm out there like stripe, paypal, clover, paymentcloud, etc, some of which you've already mentioned.

I'm assuming you're looking into high risky payment processors since what you're selling could hold liabilities, but then I'm confused cause you mention going through Whop.

you need to be a bit more clear on what you're looking for

Whop is probably the easier starting point. Once you have volume and a proven business, switching to your own processor becomes much easier.

i would not know how to give you an exact name to be honest, but it does hold some liabilities if not explained properly, i'd like to say people will be paying decently sized amounts for pngs?

well stripe, paypal, and those "mainstream" PPs are a pain in the ass to deal with, 1 chargeback and call it quits, so i do not plan on going through that, since i know there will be chargebacks, that is why i am directly looking at the high risk processors. And i mentioned Whop since everything is already set up, you just need to upload the product and sell... It's less of a hassle then with a PP...

yea, since many of them ask for some transaction history, or whatever you want to call it.

Whop provide an excelent method of validating your product before looking into alternative payment procesors. after validating your sales history and taking care of chargeback issue you will easily be able to change procesors.

It really depends on your goals If you want to validate the idea quickly I would start with an established platform first Then once sales become consistent you can look at a dedicated payment processor that gives you more control and flexibility

i'm not sure what you mean by validate the idea, i haven't tested it, but it will make solid money, i am 100% sure in that. So i am just trying the best way to start, Whop seems like a good solution, but nothing compares to having, let's say, your own.

Hey Bobby
I have just seen your thread. If you want sell digital product and are from high risk niche your biggest issue will be relating to the payment processing so.my advice is to look some providing the best payment gateway the minimum payout by gateways are 48H and they can't do it faster than this.

Depends on if you want traffic or not.

Whop is decent for some traffic and part of payment processing but a high risk payment processor may not be needed.

If you have your own way of gaining traffic I suggest gumroad.

If fast payouts are your priority, I'd probably start with Whop first. It lets you validate your product without spending too much time dealing with payment infrastructure. Once you have consistent sales, you can always move to a dedicated high-risk processor if it makes more sense for your business.

The fact that you accept a 15% processing fee indicates that the products you sell are high-risk, requiring the use of high-risk payment processors.
