[ASK] No1 in Google but only 20 visitor perday.. :(

dear all member..

i have a newbie question here..

my website is now no1 in google for 2 days (my domain is new 1 week), but the visitor is only 20 visitor perday..
for the search result, its get 1.5mil result and only 77k with quotes..

it has low compettion in Google Keyword tools with 45k Global monthly search and 16k local monthly search

i use my keyword as my domain

is that a worthed keyword??

Make sure you are not signed into your gmail account. If you are, your site will most probably be number 1 all the time because Google knows that you like your own site.

Check your rank with a rank tracker like Market Samurai..or use Google Ad Preview tool to manually check your rank. I have a feeling you are not on page 1....except when you are signed into your gmail account.

Track your site in sescout.com and seoserp.com as well as use US proxy when checking your keyword.

yes i have.. i think something wrong with the cache.. but i already try with proxy its number 1 (still can't believe for me too)

Um... being number 1 for some obscure long-tail keyword means nothing if nobody searches for it.

When you are using keyword tools, choose the [exact] match option, not the broad.

i use seoserp for check my rank, and it shown that my web is in position 6 and 7...

is there something wrong with google?? or my browser??

Always check your site rank using some online tools or software. There are some factors which alters your ranking position when you check in normal browser. I use Rank Tracker which is a part of SEO Power Suite which is pretty good. You can get it for free in download section.

The competition bar what you see in keyword tool is Adwords competition NOT seo competition and the most important thing...Check what is the exact search count for your keyword..

keyword research is important, just because a keyword has several thousands or million competing pages, means nothing when that keywords monthly searches are low. I generally aim for keywords with monthly searches over 500/month but over 1000/month is great.

You need to read the cyberzilla "common mistakes to avoid when doing keyword research" guide.

Always use Exact when researching!.... Your keyword gets 2K searches, not 70K.

Yes thats right. Either use exact or phrase match in the Google Keyword tool when doing keyword research - that is the real amount of searches going on for that particular keyword.

Since your site is really only getting 2k visitors a MONTH, thats really only about 70 visitors a day searching for that keyword. You should still be getting a bit more than 20 though, probably around 40-50 if your in #1 spot.

Try changing your meta title & description to something more appealing for human visitors (while still keeping your keywords in there for SEO, don't want to lost that #1 spot) to entice them to click on the link to your site.

thx for your information... but i think its ok i can learn form my mistake..

is there any thread in here that give tips or trick for keyword reaserch??
