[ASK]How important is relevancy of yahoo dir listing?

hi everyone ,

i have a question abt relevancy of yahoo directory listing .

while searching for a expired domain , we used to look for domains which are yahoo or dmoz listed .well its really hard to find listeddomains , suppose we find a domain which is listed in yahoo directory under education ?

my doubt is -

if i make a website on any other niche say "entertainment" on the same domain , will the yahoo listing still provide seo value and link juice or google will reject the value of yahoo listing as the content of the website will be totally different from the listed category

I found a domain last week which is listed but cannot make any decision just because i have a different niche in mind which is totally irrelevant to the category of the yahoo listing .(i lost the domains though )

i need some expert advice on this , i dont want to loose another oppertunity like this again

I once got a domain listed in dmoz they have no importance to google, if you can recreate the original site it will get links from other domains but nothing more.

so you are saying that it is of no importance to get a domain listed in yahoo dir ?

but as far as i have realised is that for every competitng website in Market samurai for my KW , there are always sites listed kin Dmoz and Yahoo on top and sometimes they dont even have a optimised url and anchor

can i have some more advice regarding this
