it might depend on what software you are using. what ever software that is, you should go tothe software's site in the forum section and ask about a if dreamhost is any good for it. example i have heard that dreamhost doesnt work with drupal, i tried dreamhost myself because i had a "free" account as a non profit and couldnt stand the hosting software they used, it wasnt cpanel, at least at the time a couple of years ago. and also they only had ticket support and not phone support.
now the ticket support has got to be REALLY great for me to tolerate that.
suresupport-dot-com had EXCELLENT ticket support. i would ask a question and sometimes it would only take like 3 minutes to get a response. most times it took half hour or so. i had to drop suresupport because the prices were lousy.
dreamhost had lousy support, in comparision i would be waiting one, or two days for support, in fact i think once they never answered.
