I am doing affiliate for a network similar to Amazon but in South East Asia, very famous here. There are two things that really frustrating:

• The commission is very low, even lower than Amazon.

• They often shave commission, cancel successful orders without reason.

I have a friend who is a seller on that network and he also shocked at how bad affiliates are treated like that. He is willing to pay me 5x more commission. But the difficult is how to track the orders. Currently I just think about coupon code but that is not efficient for larger scaling. What do you guys suggest?

Actually this is one of the main problems for any affiliate.
I was once sending lot's of traffic to a famous/large local fashion store.
I was happy to see someone placed a large order which would have brought me more than €300,- commission... Of course they cancelled 100% of the order and I didn't get anything.
I know some stores have a return rate of more than 50% because people order multiple sizes for clothes and return the rest back... So... This makes sense...
This specific store never cancelled orders partly but also cancelled 100% if they cancelled anything... So I'm quite sure they always rejected orders in their advantage!

The only thing you can do about is trying to find a program where they shave you less... or just forget affiliate marketing and become an amazone reseller or something where you will probably get other issues... :)

Maybe its you*? I had a good time with lz/grab. Even crappy shopee pays well.
Wanting to affiliate based on an established platform is only coupon loaded url (its not like your custom landing will push prospects to buy like the marketplace giants have, unless you are spending).

*What I mean is it couldnt be generalised.
