Hello guys,
I'm about to buy domain .online using relevant keyword target but will use .online because it's cheap.
so what do you think about SEO competition on Google based on your experience :)

thanks for answer my question..

I believe search engines undervalue all domain extensions other than .com,.net,.org, country-specific extensions, and a few others.

But if you build a strong brand, things start getting different, and it ignores that.

So, in the beginning, probably yes, but over time, no. My experience and opinion.

No Google and all other search engines don't care what tld you use. Unless it's a sexual one like .xxx .porn etc

I personally believe you should invest a little more for a .com, .org or .net domain because you are not going to work on the site for a few weeks or months. So, when you are investing your time and energy for a long time, why not invest in a better domain?

.com is the industry standard and not that expensive imo
Even better if you can get an aged domain

Have never seen .online domain ranked in first page

If you are building something go with .com or country specific extensions
most of these cheap domain extensions are used for testing, secondary blog setup now

What saving $8 or so for first year discount? I have no idea why anyone seriously registers some of these new gtld's. How many .online sites do you see rank? They give these extensions away for free. Look at .top it's a joke, and spamhaus website logs all the nonsense domains- some like $1 .xyz have been really abused, except the past year saw some sell which was a miracle.

In the mind of most prospective customers/searcher or users .com by default, always will be. If the .com is taken and it's one word, you will lose traffic to the parked .com as it's first in mind. Sure .ai or .io also have gained traction, but the same applies.
C/N/O only.

.online looks extremely spammy. People will not click it like they click .com
Why?
Because it got freaking 6 letters, which is a lot of letters!
So what does Google got to with all these.
Google clearly states to keep you domain as short as possible, most seo will tell ya keep it 12 letters. But with that big ass , pardon by French, 6 letter extension it doesn't matter what your domain is, it look really really bad and scammy.

Where we go from here? Get creative and get a small number of letters .com domain.

Maybe google won't care but your potential users will.
Don't be cheap minded and buy a real .com domain.

.xxx is actually a great domain. People in adult industry going to weight your site more, thinking you are serious about your shit. Just saying.
