Hey all,

I have the following question. I'm currently running an Fb campaign to Add to cart and within one day I got 40 atc and a small number of purchases. Conversation rate is around1%. So I have the following question when I should change add to cart event to purchase according to your experience? Do I have to duplicate the ad set or I have to use the same ad set? Is it better first to change it to initiate checkout or add payment info? How do you scale your ads at this stage?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Nick

Absolutely purchases.

What is even smarter,
If your website has add to cart button, use addtocart pixel there, and after sale purchase event(Same pixel, just 2 different events).
But ad create with purchase event! You are not tracking addtocart, but fb is still tracking it under events. This gives you more data to pixel and you have ability to create custom audience based on AddToCart data a lot sooner(obviously AddToCart will have loads more events tracked than purchase).

So when you have ability to create custom audience, use AddToCart data, but still create purchase conversion campaign.

Create new campaign with purchase even't, do not change it in middle of active campaign, it will mess algorithm. Scaling is always complicated, try boosting budgets daily by 50%. If you scale your budget too fast, your's cpc's will skyrocket. Go slow.
Try creating fresh campaigns with same targeting, change images and text. Duplicating is not very good method nowadays.

Well, I'm using one pixel because my platform is shopify and it's tracking all the events.

I have seasoned the pixel a little bit with over 200 add to carts and I have created a lookalike audience based on this information and also over 120 purchases and also created a lookalike audience of it.

I have created a conversation ad with add to cart event and there are a lot of add to carts but low purchases. Yesterday I changed the same ad to initial checkout. Do I need to stop this ad and create a new ad only for purchases? Should I make different lookalike audiences like 2%,3%,4%,5% and run to them also ads?

I am always starting my campaigns with PPE ads and they are doing great, but once I start to scale a campaign to WC everything tanks, and can't find the reason of this :(

Hey there, I have a similar issue. All I can say is definitely optimize for purchase instead of add to cart
