Hi Guys,

I want a program/application/utility/script/Firefox add-on or whatever it could be... What I want is... it should be able capture every action I do on my system and give the log in some file format (.xls, .csv, flat file, anything will do).

For example, Say I am opened my Outlook and then open a browser and do something there in the browser like visit some site etc, then open AIM or Yahoo messenger and chat for a while... then I want the log to say the list of programs I opened with date & time.

I dont want any further details as to what I did after opening the browser or what I did after login onto the Chat messenger.. I just want the list of programs opened by me and want it as a log. If its gives more information in the log then its great but I dont really expect it :)

Can anyone tell me if such a tool exists already? Please drect me....

Thanks!

easy macro recorder. But just do a search for a free macro recorder, there are plenty out there. You're looking for a Macro recorder.

Thanks for your reply SlowNSteady.

The point is I do not want to iterate (or redo) the same set of actions... I just want to keep track of what all applications/programs has been opened and used. That is all! So, what should I go for a Macro Recorder? I think it is for the purpose of Automation yeah? I mean doing the same set of tasks over and over.

Please correct me if I am wrong....

To add more details:

I think using a Macro records means I should start recording everytime I log in. It will give me information of what mouse click i did, what key i pressed etc. All I want is simple information on what application is used.

yup, i used easy macro recorder. It's really simple, you can save everything you do, either as a whole, or individually. lets you set the speed of the process also. I'm a manager at my day job, and it requires me checking on progress throughout the day. I've saved everything i do during this process so I can just kick back and watch the monitor.
