Hi
i have a quick question. How do you get your amazon.com associate earnings if you are based in the UK? The current payment options dont seem to support direct payments to UK bank accounts or paypal.

Thanx in advance.

I think it's by cheque. You'd need to wait until it arrives via post. I'm not 100% sure as I just use the amazon.co.uk affiliate, but I think I read this somewhere.

Only US affiliates can get paid by direct deposit.
You can get paid either by check or Amazon gift card.

I think someone mentioned a Payoneer card works too but I havent checked myself.

Thanx for response. Yeah i saw the cheque option but given i cant deposit this in a sterling account i ddnt think this wld work for me. Gift card is not an option.

Are there any UK based associates selling on the US site and getting paid? If so how are you dealing with this issue.

You shouldn't have a problem depositing a $ cheque in a UK bank. I should think there will be some king of exchange rate payment due by you or taken off the top, but paying it in wouldn't be a problem.

Might be worth you opening an account with these guys www.citibank.co.uk. From what I've read they don't charge to clear US cheques. You might even be able to open an international account with them.

somebody was recommending payoneer on another thread

Apply for a payoneer card first of all, then apply for their US payment service.
They create an US bank for you and allow you to receive direct deposits from companies like amazon, it then goes onto your payoneer card and you can withdraw the cash in an atm with your payoneer card or use it to make payments ;)

I think what cricket1 meant was that only US affiliates can be paid via direct deposit through amazon.com, the US version of Amazon. I'm sure anybody can get paid by direct deposit in their respective countries amazon, whether it be .co.uk, .in, .au etc. But if a person from the UK affiliates in the US version they will have issues getting paid.
my bad then :)

Thanks all for the replies. let me explore the citi bank option and payoneer one as well. will keep you posted.
