[Ask] About WHOIS Protection

I want purchase a domain+hosting cheap, already found good one. I don't want to use their WHOIS protection because it is too expensive, so my plan is buy WHOIS protection on namecheap than apply it on that domain. Is it possible?

It's not possible. You're going to have to get the domain and Whois protection from the same registrar.

Also you will still have two records (one historic), so people can still find your details if they really want to.

I wish i can do it in different registrar, why they have different WHOIS protection price?
The hosting plan i found, offered $12/year hosting and free domain, but their WHOIS protection too expensive, $9,99/year which compared with namecheap only $2.88/year

You won't find decent hosting for $12/year and less.

If you want to avoid spam, why not create a new gmail account and use that as your registrant email address?

That is good idea, but there is another disadvantage didn't using WHOIS protection? like card information, address etc? if only about spam, i should try this..

Best Stuff >> Reg a new gmail address & purchase hosting/domain from it.
Set a forwarder for that particular account to your genuine mail address.
Now forwarder means all mail will be forwarded to the new address, but we do not want that

Hence, filter is the option for you.
You can create 20 different filters

create 1 filter and insert the hosting/domain organisation name and site.
Click on Apply

In the end, you'll get the mails from that particular ID to the main ID just for notification procedure.
No need to open inbox of that address each and everytime to check some vital mail arrives or not.
Whenever you need some action for it, then just open the main address inbox and copy the forwarded subject and open that particular mail - Reply.

Done

Great twist sagar, i will apply this.. I got much that spam on my primary email, which i used to purchased domain previously. So with this tips from you and Treeofl1, spam problem resolved, but, i want to know more what exactly they (spammer) can get more than email information?

They can't get your credit card info, that would be silly.

You can use a fake address, there's no way of verifying it. Same could be said about your phone number.

You can set 1 gmail account forwarder to other gmail account too.
