Ask about Review Schema on Articles

since 2 years i was use review schema for my article and i was have a high CTR, But i disable it ... and now i need to back to it but i heard from some friends .. the review schema if put on article .. my website will get punish from google ...

so my question is: can i use the review schema on articles about how to and best Products? can i use in general on article?

please For those who answer the question, it is from experience and expertise..because I really want to take it back
