Hello BlackHatWorld,

What is benefits of 'Domain Layering" for SEO?

If I build 10 new fresh domains and "layer" it to my money site, will there be any effect?

PS: Sorry if my English.

You could start off by explaining what domain layering is. That will help generate more interest.

Domain Layering means like SILO;
10 domains i.e pointing to main site.

If you access any 10 domains, its show main site contents.

The files of site itself ONLY exist on main site.

About Domain Layering

Domain Layering is a technique that allows you to separate your website into multiple domains. This can be very useful if you have a large number of subdomains (e.g., www, Blogspot, and so on) or if you want to use different domain names for different purposes. For instance, many people choose to use their own domain name as their main domain and then create subdomains under it for each purpose: personal blogs, online stores, etc.

I am not sure what the point of this is? The only way it would make sense is if you have for example:

your-site.com/laptops
your-site.com/desktops
your-site.com/monitors
your-site.com/keyboards

then you need to have a domain that has a good backlink profile in each of these categories. It cannot be semi related, it has to be 1:1 exactly related, then you 301 these domains to their respective categories. A high number of 301s can also land you into trouble.

Either build categories on your site, or run each site as a microniche. The first option will require less $, because you are pumping up one domain with juicy links and adding a ton of content, so you're getting the benefits throughout your categories (make sure the categories are extremely related to get this benefit)

The microniche route is a lot more work, it's like running 10 different sites, so you have to now prep 10 domains and spend $ for each of those domains, but it can be more rewarding in the sense that your risk through google algorithm changes and other penalties is now divided by 10.
