Does anyone have experience with hashtag hijacking?

As in a radio station comes up with a story, they have several million listeners, they ask people to tweet for example their favorite school dinners #faveschooldinners

then you hijack with perhaps a mylikes link in your tweet.

does this work?

Would easily fetch you some change.

and a twitter ban?
