As an utter newbie, where should I begin?

I've been a part of the forum for a short while, and I've certainly been a lurker. I have extremely low experience & lack much knowledge on the subjects people talk about here, which attributed strongly to my lack of participation.

My goal starting out is to earn just a small amount. I don't have much experience at all, so I don't expect to suddenly bank big. I read a lot of threads that appear on here, including the threads posted by newbies asking for a method to earn big bucks fast, and the answer is of course to take it slow & read around. I'd like to start reading around, learning about ways to start earning a small bit of side cash & actually doing them, but I feel that every thread I read is just another one cluttered with new phrases.

My question is where should I be reading as a newbie? What threads, what kind of threads, what kinds of "methods" should I be reading? Where is a suggested place to start learning about all of these new phrases?

Just find something you're interested in and work on it. What i've learnt is don't be a jack of all trades a master of none. Stick to something and do well with it. Once you're earning money decent money from a method then move on to something bigger.

I understand this, but I'm not exactly sure where to start. I don't want to walk into something that interests me but is too complicated for me without past experience and fail miserably & demotivating me. I am trying to find something I can take me time to read up on and slowly get a grip of.

My recommendation: Pick a niche you have interest in enough to learn how to build a small website. Try to pick one that has some marketing potential.

Download Market Samurai Free Trial and use www.moz.com search engine tools just to look up a few keywords in that niche. Im not saying to do a massive SEO campaign as a newbie, but if you have a good idea for a niche site to build you never know if there are easy keywords.

This one may take a while, because you will be learning everything about building websites. I won't recommend to ONLY focus on a website / wordpress page early on, but building websites and having a website to promote has taught me alot.

However, I would also recommend start building up social media accounts as well. Instagram is still good, just dont try to spam 30 profiles as a newbie. Just create a few and learn how to build them up. If nothing else, you will learn social marketing and be able to sell the accounts eventually.

Make at least a few of twitter, instagram. Facebook maybe make a few but really have 1 main account that is legit where you create your pages. Start building likes and reach on the page. Keep searching and building a presence on reddit, pinterest, etc.

I realize I did not explain how to do all that because it is a LOT to explain, but thats a good gameplan.

My point is that you need to be starting small and learning, but making sure that what you do is still productive.

A website can be around forever. By finding some easy keywords and even learning how to use KW tools, you will once again gain another skill. Make SEO part of your long term strategy. While doing this be building social media accounts, so you have something valuable eventually no matter what.

Finally, keep your eye out for other methods if you find a good one. With this strategy you will have something building no matter what.

You need to understand that failure is a big part of IM. You will fail, it will happen, so you might as well come to terms with that now.

As for what you can do:
- CPA
- Amazom/Shopify Dropshipping
-Creating & selling social media accounts/pages.
- SEO (takes a long time to be successful at but is worth it).
- PPC (Don't blow your wad on this until you know what you're doing).

Start a blog and write about whatever interests you have, be it art, cooking, making porn films or watching people dress up and spend their weekends Morris Dancing.
