As an SEO, What tool you use the most? Ahrefs or Semrush?

I see a lot of SEOs split between Ahrefs and Semrush. Curious what everyone here leans on the most.
I’ve tried both and feel like Ahrefs is stronger for backlinks and content research, while Semrush has better tracking, audits, and extra tools.
If you had to pick one, which would you say gives you more value day to day?

I stick with Semrush - not because it’s better, but because I know my way around it. Ahrefs lost me the day they ghosted their free trial. :D
 
Used both, Ahrefs is better for backlinks and content gaps, no doubt. But for daily use, Semrush wins with tracking, audits, and overall project management. If I had to pick one, I’d go with Semrush for versatility.

Been a while I used Ahrefs last, asides the free tools. I mostly use Semrush. They're both good enough for the tasks. Yes, Ahrefs seems better than anything out there, long as backlinks is concerned.
 
Semrush, ofcourse, ahrefs is to pricey, now counts evey clicks and asks for more money.
Ahrefs is way better that goes without saying.

Semrush if you look overall.
For backlinks analysis Ahrefs has some perks, but overall Semrush is better.
 

I usually go with Semrush for daily SEO tasks because of its all-in-one tools, but Ahrefs is unbeatable for backlinks and content research.​

same here. I like ahref but it is too much pricey and count clicks which is irritating.

I am using semrush for couple of years.
 
Another vote for SEMRush. Besides being less costly, its metric for ranking purposes (Authority Score) is a better indicator of an url's overall SEO strength.
 
I’ve used both and find Ahrefs stronger for backlinks and content research, while Semrush offers better audits, tracking, and overall tools. If backlinks drive your strategy, go Ahrefs; if campaign management matters more, Semrush wins.
 
For overall seo metrics, I use Semrush on day to day-to-day activity. Even though Ahrefs works pretty well when it comes to Backlink strategy.

Unless you are a heavy user, buying a Semrush account in the forum is easier and way more cheaper.
 
If you’re managing multiple projects and want an all in one tool Semrush is worth it. Personally I use Ahrefs daily but keep Semrush around for audits and keyword gap checks.
 
Honestly? My most valuable "tool" is the Google Search Console. It's free and tells me exactly what Google cares about. For everything else, I just grab a shared account from the Marketplace here. Lets me peek at both Ahrefs and Semrush for the price of a coffee! Why choose when you can have a little of both?
 
5 Years since stopped working SEO.

I used both, Ahrefs for backlinks and SemRush for everything else.

If I must choose SemRush is the winner
