As a internet marketer , should i buy Mac?

I use a Mac. If you can be bothered, you can just use some kind of Windows emulation every time you need to install software that's designed for Windows.

For IM... you would have to install parallels.

If it is just for IM... I would buy something else.

for everything else... mac is really good.

yeah, just make sure you have a virtual windows installation b/c much of the software is only windows based...

You can try VMWare. It looks a bit faster.
Also you can try bootcamp.
However, i've switched from mac back to pc.

been using Mac for 3 years, just changed to Macbook air 11", I build html sites with Freeway, use PS and Word when I need them and the rest of my IM stuff is outsourced.
I don't have the time to mess about with SB, xrummer etc but if you are into all these type of things PC (urgh) is probably what you need, or you could do as others suggested and run VMware.
After moving to Mac I will never downgrade to PC again. ;)
BTW Im not a 'fanboy' I just like quality stuff...

Most people in IM/SEO Use Macs and have parallels installed so they can still use windows based programs. Depends what you want, if you're mainly going to be designing than I would go with a Mac. If not then go with a windows desktop, especially if you're into gaming.

Depends on what you were before and what you do, I went from Toshiba to Macbook Pro few weeks ago and after 2 days I had to install Windows on Mac because of different simple task stuff like cmd+c instead of control+c for copy etc.. It slow me down, now I'm asking myself why I have not bought Dell XPS 15z instead

If you're just browing & learning new stuff then go for mac air. you'll simply love it.

i love how people here are basically saying
use a mac and go through a convoluted process to get it to act like a pc
just buy a pc and use it, programs running natively rather than under emulation have less of a chance of screwing up, and run faster
besides, with windows 7 you can open a whole longint of tci/ip connections (that's 65535 simultaneous connections) you cannot do that with a mac
bottom line is...
if you are serious about business you buy a business machine

I buy it everyday. Takeaway.
