Hey all,
I'm a long-time lurker, but a first time poster. Lately, I've been more and more interested in how artificial intelligence and machine learning is going to change web content creation. I've already heard of companies making facebook profiles using computer-generated profile images: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/20/business/facebook-ai-generated-profiles.html

I'm curious to do some experimentation in this area. One thought I had was to try and generate blog articles using artificial intelligence. I'm curious whether you all have thought about this topic and/or would give me feedback as I test some AI-generated articles.

Thanks!

I don’t think that AI will be writing or translating good, high-quality content any time soon. Language is much more than just dead words on a page and requires a level of understanding that AI can’t catch up to anytime soon. Even though a machine can learn what it takes to optimize a blog post, it won’t be able to connect with the readers as an actual writer can.

I half agree and half don’t.

I mean if you train it of well written articles and blogs then your results would be significantly more positive.

But I agree it will be awhile before it becomes “perfect” But I have heard of people using AI to spin articles, then using VA / content writers / themselves todo the final edit.

As for translation I believe it is being experimented to create movie subtitles.

Overall I honestly think it’s a great idea, if your able to create 100’s of articles and just edit them instead of manually writing them. I believe it could be profitable if your smart enough skilled enough and dedicated (all of which I am not)

With respect, @eCloudCorp , I wouldn’t say that people using AI to create raw outlines is a good indicator of the technology’s ceiling. I mean, is that really more cost and time-efficient than hiring a beginner-tier writer from Fiverr? You’d still have to hammer and iron their work into anything remotely presentable.
Sure, the idea of having high-quality content ready at the literal push of the button is enticing, but the chances of that idea becoming reality any time soon are miniscule.

This subreddit has some good GPT generated discussions, some made me laugh:

Yes, we all have every tool needed. Scrapper, spinner, and grammar tools. All you have to do is instruct AI to combine the tools and make your wish come true.

I believe that it is. Yet, I am a big believer in AI and I guess that you can improve every single niche. Every industry can and must leverage from AI.
I have a big hope to start AI service with my company. But we've got to learn and work hard. But it is the future. We must adopt it.

Their are already tools on the market which generate thousand word articles from scratch on the market. Yes they are only tier two at best, but it’s heading in the right direction. :) But I agree their will be a place for content writers for a long while ahead.
