Articlebot and webspinner -what happened?

Anybody know the story behind articlebot and webspinner? Both were pretty good content generation programs although expensive as subscription based, however both sites are gone now, closed down completely! its weird as webspinner in particular seemed to have a big following and busy forum. i do remember there were some legal battles between the owners of these systems perhaps that was the downfall, anyone know?

I was a customer of both. AB site's was always up and down depending on the mood the clown who owned it, Don. The last I remembered (over a year ago) is that he offered Article B free if you joined his mlm stuff. But a few months ago, you are right, it disapeered.

As for Web S. , I left them about a year ago. I heard many people had billing and refunds problems with them (many said scammed) . In my opinion, the product was great but the owner was not really taking his business seriously. I am sure he had other priorities elsewhere. I still miss this product.

yeah I liked the webspinner product too - but hate subscription based software! I was also at one time a user of both applications and just found it strange that the two biggest "spinning programs" both vanished around the same time
