Ok guys im back again with another question.

Yesterday i purchased article submitter platinum. it autosubmits my articles to the article directories. now that is a cool feature. but nowhere on the site does it explains the duplicate content penalty. neither do any of the ASP review sites.

Now please correct me if im wrong but if i write an article then have ASP auto submit it to 210 sites wouldn't those articles all be considered dupe content..well except for maybe one or two right??

please help i am like dying to find an answer to this its really bugging me hehe thanks.

Yeah it just seems weird to me that so many people own this but no one talks about the dupe content. I wonder if the links still count so the content doesnt matter???

I am not sure about it, but from what i know when u have dupe content only one of the sites which has the content will get the index.. Most probably the first to pop out i guess. The rest are omitted i think..

yeah king crab thats exactly what i was thinking it seems that a program that autosubmits the same article to multiple directories would be useless?? I wish someone else with some more information would post their thoughts??

As far as dupe content goes, I am hearing conflicting stories. I have two sites I trust for SEO advice - one says goo*g will discount dupe content - the other says goo*g doesn't care and all that counts is links. So who knows for sure?

I am just starting out in IM, but here's something I use. Jet*spinner web site - it is a free article spinner. Once you learn how to set up an article, it will spin article titles, body text, and author resource box - up to 999 times. Download the free zip file with all your articles and your ready to start submitting. Or you can write your articles in P*ower A*rticle Re*writer, copy and paste into JetS, makes things a little easier.

yeah that power article rewriter sounds like a good program...do you have a copy of it by any chance??

what article submitter are you using is that from ins*tantarticlesub*mitter.com?

IMHO the term "penalty" is a misnomer. The internet IS duplicate content. Just plug in the title of any article and you'll get multiple sites with exactly the same article. You may not rank as high in the SERPS with just duplicate content on your site but that's about it. Also, it's about backlinks with article submissions.

Don't expect Matt Cutt$ to offer up a 12 pack and a reach-around for posting dupe content but he's not going to penalize you either.

I hear the conflicting stories as well. I still think it's valuable because of the backlinks and traffic from within the directories though.

On a side note, how do you like the platinum edition? I have the gold and have been debating platinum for a minute now....

So bob to put this issue to rest for once and for all is it safe to say:

submitting my articles to multiple sites (mainly using the article submitter platinum software) is for the most part about getting backlinks. Its not about having those pages necessarily ranking high (although that would be an added benefit) the initial purpose is to generate much needed backlinks from multiple sources.

Its all about getting good targeted backlinks pointing to my site so the more articles i submit the more backlinks ill have granted they might get hit for dupe content

uh ohh now that brings up the whole supplement content or whatever its called. Will those links still count if google marks my articles are duplicates and puts them in the "supplemental content box"???

That's what I use it for...backlinks...good, bad or ugly ones. Obviously, submitting unique content to each article directory MAY increase the chance that the site will get more "credit" from the search engines, and a potential increase in pagerank for your article page. Then, that link back to your site now has more even more weight.

You have to weigh the pros and cons of the time it takes to create that unique content. Personally, I'd rather just take that time and distribute 100 more articles. I use article distribution as kind of a spray and pray mentality going for volume of backlinks rather than quality.

With that being said, there are ways to increase the quality of your backlinks. You could submit your article links on some of the bigger/better sites like ezine articles to social bookmarking sites. This will get you more traffic as well as a heavier weighted backlink.

With respect to the supplemental index, it's a fact of life. You may distribute to 1,000 sites and only get 100 backlinks b/c your article page ends up in the supp index or just not found at all. One thing I'm playing with to increase link saturation is downloading my backlinks from yahoo, which typically finds/indexes many more of my articles and backlinks, and dumping the URL's in the CSV file into a pinging tool. In a perferct world, pinging those sites will bring their existence into light for G00gle as well as yahoo...still testing

wow bob you just became my new best friend hehe:) that was exactly what i have been looking for..i have been searching the internet high and low for a straight forward answer and i have FINALLY got it..thank you bro. Seriously i have been searching for weeks now and you answered it within a day of me posting the question haha.

SHY: yes i like artcile submitter platinum alot more than gold mainly because of the autosubmit feature. with the autosubmit you just load your articles as normal but it does all of the submissions for you, hehe hence auto submit.
one thing nobody talks about though is that it will take you a good day or two to feel in all of the required info (site registration, login info, and email validation). Atleast for me, this was time consuming as i have a "real" job but i just outsourced it....to my wife.

whoaaa Ok bob haha, i just thought of one more question....if we are not worried about dupe content, were just chasing links.. then would it hurt me to just upload plr articles and submit them as is??or atleast with minimal rewriting?? my reason for asking is because i dont see the difference in me writing 1 article and submitting it to 1000 sites and me using a plr that has probably been used 1000 times. see what im saying. i hope this makes since!!

For 99.9% of the sites that article submission software or services submit to, PLR will sneak under the radar and get you your backlink(s). The problem is that the .1% who have the resources (time, staff, dupe checking software...etc) to see if it is truly unique are typically the best sites and the ones you want your backlinks from. Ezine articles will catch you, smack you around via email and close your account, I've been there, done that, blamed someone I outsourced to and got my account back in standing only after deleting every article I had with them. Lesson learned.

Do a search of the top article directory sites and if you have a way in your software to de-select submitting to those few sites with the PLR articles, try that. With the good stuff, or at least the ones that will pass the unique article smell test, select them all and release the hounds. If you can't do that and someone bans you, just take your medicine, open a new account with them and manually submit to that particular site(s) if your really want to submit there that badly.

Most article sites, especially the big ones (Ezine, goarticles, etc) will recognize the PLR article and not publish it. It doesn't take long to rewrite an article in your own words an many threads on BHW show you how to do it.

As far as duplicate content, that shouldn't be your main focus when submitting to most article sites. Your focus should be backlinks!

As far as your own site, make sure the ONLY thing you put here is original material. So don't publish the same articles on your own site that you publish to the majority of article sites to create backlinks.

When it comes to the bigger article sites like Ezine and GoArticles, you most likely want to publish original material here, because a good article will not only get a backlink but may in turn drive some good traffic your way, and possibly your keyword(s) will get picked up by the search engines.

Just my take!

ok so now i understand this and i see how it works..you guys have been a big help! I thanked each of you with the infamous "Thank You" button. Well im off to start submitting some articles thanks.

What is a good % of article uniqueness ?

100 % is best, of course :), but what are your experiences with some lower %s ?

Hey guys you can use wordflood for rewriting articles and it can create some great articles in less time than it takes to write one from scratch. I also use DupFree Pro to check for duplicate content and the % of duplicate content online. Using wordflood I've gotten an article down to 12%.

Works like a charm. Both softwares are available on the forum.
